New Planet Discovered

As for 'the edge of the universe' I remember being taught that since the whole universe is moving out (in an explosion sort of way) the edge is the matter which is moving so fast that light cannot catch it up and thus we can't see it.

Not quite, it is travelling AT the speed of light, so essential the velocity of that light relative to us is zero, thats why we wont ever see it.

What I want to know is what happens now... Personally I'd go with the elastic effect thing, that eventually it'll all go back into itself, but I dont really understand any of it much, nor will I ever know the answer.

i heard that some kind of planet protects us from metiors actually, i doint remekebr the name cuz it was the descrory channel or somrthing, i think it has saved us from like alot of metiors!!! so whats the point anyway in 16 years we are all gunna due cuz a huge ass metior is gunna kill us
