Greetings.

I'm looking to upgrade my phone (SE k750i) with O2 on pay monthly, if possible i want to avoid SE phones as the little joystick thingy always seems to die on me after a few months.

Anyone recently got a decent phone they'd recommend?

I got this one last year, and it's pretty good..rings people and all that. Don't let anyone else touch it or hold it though as they always touch the buttons/screen which gets greasy, also makes it difficult to show them pictars ;/

Get a SE without a joystick? my w810i doesn't have one for example. Sony Ericsson destroy any competition. Best quality cameras / screen and very easy to use.

If you get my one, do what I did and attatch a razor blade to the side. Makes it a lot easier as it slides'n'stuff!

nokia N73 tbh.

Yeah nice phone.. My 12y old cousin has one, so she can take pictures of the new kittens her cat just gave birth to! Her family is here for the weekend and if I see another picture of myself, I'm gonna go emo and tell all of you how bad I feel all the time!

well i happen to kinda know a little about phones :p
LG shine is a nice phone, looks kinda flash and expensive, but a pain to use!
Samsung E900 isnt to bad either, but black phones are boring imo!
Motorola Krzr is a nice phone aswell (i have atm, i have it for the looks..)
Nokia 8600 is one im thinking of getting, looks nice and nokia is a decent make as long as u avoid the 6111 at all costs! the 8800 Sirocco Edition is lovely as well!
LG chocolate is nice, but you cant put a memory card in it as far as i no :s

I would avoid the choclate i have a few firends with one and they have a major pain in the arse problem. If you hold the phone to your ear and get it to close to your face you can end up hanging up as the heat/light what ever the button uses gets sett of by your cheek.

My current phone is a Samsung, my phone before was a Samsung and I'm very happy with them. The battery lasts long (at least I'd say so) and the design is generally nice.

Currently I have the X-500 but I just saw that they don't seem to sell it on the UK site of samsungmobile, lol wtf is this. Here is the German link for the design though, maybe there is something similar in the UK Samsung X-500
I wanted it cause it has bluetooth, but I'm not even using it now, lol ^^ Well I'l see one day, when I'm in the mood to buy a bluetooth handfree set =)

The advantage of a flip-phone (or clamshell phone? please enlighten me, I need to know this) is, that you're protecting the main screen and most people I know have problems with keeping theirs clean and in good shape. The downside of the X-500 is the outer display illumination. On a sunny day it's really hard to see anything on it, so if you frequently use it as watch (like I do), then you'll have to open it to check most of the time when the sun in shining. (The outer display is black background with light blue/turquoise writing)
