Don't need a graphics card, I've got a 3800ti, don't need storage, and my Power Supply should be OK.

What's the best combo for CPU, MOBO and RAM? Would like 32gb, no fanboyism to either Intel or AMD.

Budget is about £600 but could creep up a little. Probably want a new Win install, and a hybrid cooler, but can shop around for one of them.

I quite like the look of the Asus TUF motherboards, I have one for my old faithful Intel.

Much love

What's your current spec @Raven?

5+ years old spec. I7-7800X. Holds up surprisingly well, but I find I'm playing more CPU intensive stuff these days, Cities Skylines and the like.

Think I've got the K. BG3 runs nice at 4k near 120fps a lot of the time.

The new processors really that much better? I thought we were into the realms of diminishing returns nowadays.

Cities skylines eats RAM so 32GB is a must!

Yeah, got 32 in my current PC, so it's a minimum. Depending on cost of the rest, I may even go 64.

If that's the target game, probably worth a mooch through their steam community as it's known to need something beefy to run.

Gone for this.

Cities Skylines runs OK on current machine, up to 100k pop, then nose dives.
