Nvidia has released a new verion of their unified drivers for nForce based motherboards (4.24). The release notes suggest they've fixed/added some useful stuff (They certainly work fine here).

Get 'em here.

I just installed these.. now i'm getting a BSOD on the windows loading screen... Even trying to load the last good settings causes a BSOD.

Currently, i'm running Knoppix from CD to try to fix my problem :( Dunno what i can do though.

Did you read the notes on the download page about incompatibilities and how to remove previous (specified) versions?

That aside, try booting into safe mode (F8 on startup) and removing the files and/or using a previous system restore point.

The 'Last good configuration' thing has, in my experience, never done any good for anyone.

I used driver cleaner to remove the old drivers.

Anyway, I fixed it by using the repair feature on the windows XP installer.

I dont bother uninstalling old drivers either. Never had a problem apart from the actual drivers (graphics) causing known problems with certain games.

I'm wary of saying Yes, but they are supposed to be for all nForce boards (with a few model specific exceptions).

Your best bet is to take a look at your mobo/pc manufacturer's site and see what they say, or indeed if they have earlier verions for download. Epox, for one, already have these available for download.

Lots of lovely sound changes that will hopefully fix winamp and the crackling I get at specific times in specific games. But can't help feeling that the main problem is the fact that I've installed so many drivers over the top of others that only a reinstall will fix my problems. Will give em a try though.
