Eagerly awaiting them to arrive, had been planning on a Logitech G5 for some time but on the weekend i managed to share my pint with my keyboard so its a lil on the fooked side,so figured i'd go for a Logitech G11 aswell.
Read some good reviews on them both but was just curious what the folk here think of em?

Cheers :drink:

Hi Cemetrygates

Logitech make fine hardware, so you should be happy. I have the G5 at home in the UK and it's a nice gaming mouse. The fabric cord-shielding has frayed over time, but otherwise it's still great. I also have the MX Revolution in Taiwan, and although the first one died (and had to be RMA'ed to Switzerland), the replacement works very well.

As for the keyboard, I have a G15 at home and that's been great too, so I expect the G11 will see you well. If you are unhappy, you can always consider Microsoft's hardware which is very nice too.

Kind regards

Just a heads up: I don't know about other mice these days, but I have a Razor gaming mouse, which I find absolutely spot on, because you can adjust it's DPI and polling frequencies via three buttons on the mouse itself, which is amazingly handy imo. You can go from ubernerdhardcoretwitchgamer 2000DPI to ultra slow mode (which I call draw-mode, because I do graphics work in that mode) which is like 200 (or100, I forget) DPI.

I consider those options very handy indeed.

Hi TdC

You're right, the fast DPI switching is handy (the G5 has it too). If it's too hardcore, I think people can also customize the buttons to do other things. Razor mice have a great reputation, and Microsoft also work with them now.

Kind regards

You are making me want to go out and get a G15...

A bit off topic but to echo logitechs good products...
I recently bought their Harmony 555 Universal remote control.
What a brilliant product that is!

To watch TV I used to have to use a remote to switch the TV on, switch it to AV. Use another remote to switch my Amp On, Use another remote to switch sky box on. This remote does all that with 1 button!

Fantastic!!

I REALLY love having the 2 buttons at my thumb, tis my first "gaming" mouse and i love it...an with the weight cartdrige system this mouse is very user friendly imo as ya can make a big difference playin around with the weight an sensitivity to get it to how ya want.
The board....i like it but i am yet to really get the chance to properly play with what it can do, will prob be tomorrow that i really give it a shot an figure out its full potential :)

I use a G9 Mouse which is really nice with 3 on the fly sensitivity settings in each profile and 3 profiles. Also has a sections for weights so you can make it a bit heavier which i liked.

And i use a Merc Z Board for my Keyboard which i really like with all the gaming buttons in one little section although the number pad take getting used too.

I have had a G15 keyboard for ages and love it.

I recently bought a Rayzor copperhead mouse and have had some problems with it. It seems much less accurate that the old windows one i used to use. In that, trying to click the close button on some window and sometimes it will judder around. Is there anything specific I should be doing with it to make it work right? I turned off the smoothing setting in the mouse control panel tab as it said that made it more accurate but this hasn't helped. I've also stopped the rayzor utility running at startup as I dont really want 1000 things all running, is this a problem? Suggestions?

You updated all the firmware and stuff? I remember something that the things that came on the disc could be a bit troublesome.

That one im deffo getting when cash starts rolling in again, got a copperhead now and love it. Bought a deathadder for my brother for christmas and used his computer during the winter holiday and still thinks about the deathadder sometimes when im lonely! ;)

+ the blue glow really matches my samsung monitor! :)

For keyboard i got a budget logitech. Always used logitech up until my first razer (diamondback). Prefer lowtech keyboards tho, really don't like the look of m15 etc.

I've had the Saitek Eclipse keyboard for 2 years now and it's pretty good Eclipse Keyboard

I'm looking to replace my Microsoft IntelliExplorer wired mouse which I've had for years and I love, but the right mouse button is now a bit 'iffy'.
