I'd also advise buying the CPU, mobo and heatsink from the same place, that way if any go wrong you can ditch the whole lot back on them and they can sort it out.

Don't get generic ram, I did for my Shuttle and I have had to send it back on the basis that its shite and crashes the machine :/

They will of course argue that their little P100 doesn't have any problems with it but I hope to get a refund so I can get 2x 512Mb Crucial sticks

Yeah, have to confess to the 'non-brand' memory making me uneasy. :/ Corsair is double the price, though.

I have a Zimmer-thingy flower heatsink currently and I'm reasonably confident it will be sufficient. I'm prepared to see how it goes to start with. I can always order a heatsink and fan later, or pop to PC World or Silicon Alley.

You wont notice any difference between Corsair, or the 'Generic' TwinMOS if you aint overclocking that rig, and even if you are it will be fine But hey, if it makes you happy and gives you piece of mind go for it

I would go with the Barton if the cost isn't too hard to swallow

I would consider buying the 'chip in a box' retail AMD Chip +HSF package rather than OEM, as they are generally only 5 - 10 pounds more expensive, and carry 3 years warranty.
