yeah - tell that to all ppl that play daoc, spread the word.

And often if not always, if u form 1FG or 2, u get outsiders to follow the group. And it ends up in zerging.

A little OT, but still..

I've had ideas of some kind of siegeskills as:

"Stormtowers"- Rolling towers with stairs inside to get into keeps over keepwalls. Desires large amount of materials, one full group to transport and should be very hard to make (high skill needed).
Defenders should be able to hit this construction and the HP for it should have an amount referring to the constructors/crafters skill in this ability so to speak.

"Boiling Oil"- Defenderskill. Make it possible to pour out boiling oil over ramming attackers (on a timer fx., remember to bring enough oil...) . Each keep should have some canals on specific spots in the keep, fx. room above gates and only on these spots it will be possible to use it in a successfull way.

Just some thoughts :)

More milegates, hmmm. Why not making bridges somewhere in all 3 realm frontiers ?, I really miss that a lot.

Dinner is ready

Another thought - how about the traditional keep defense of MOATS....Tons of sodding keeps and not one moat among them afaik except for those in the bg's.

What will that do you say? Well most classes are pretty vunerable while swimming - i'm sure we all have bg alts that know what it's liek to get caught swimming the moats there.

Another suggestion - there used to be trapdoors and arrow slits in the floor above the inner portcullis door - so that rocks/oil/arrows could be dropped. Another quite nasty one was to have a solid inner wall on the sides of the portcullis-outerdoor corridor and movable outer ones mounted with spikes on it....Not saying all of em are doable in game - just some thoughts...

having two walls would be nice, ie you break down teh first doors then have to get around the inside of the keep to the back before you can get through the second set of doors, but in this game would also be too susceptible to pbaoe spamming from inside the inner wall, it'd be a fun one for defending with tons of archers though :) that run through the outer wall to the back of the keep would be pincusion city :)

i think the main thing to do to this game though is get rid of generic keeps, ie they're ALL the same, all middy keeps look alike, all hibby one's etc... we need them to be structured differnently from one another so that we see something interesting attacking/defending the different ones, and can develope different strats for each.
