New IRC Server?

I dunno if there's a need for it, but I've put up an IRC server which is up 24/7 that you all can join to chat about various stuff.

Feel free to use whichever channel you want, for guilds or whatever. Personally I'm chilling out in #daoc if you wanna join.

Would be quite fun if a bunch of people started using it.
PS. Let me know if you dont know how to use IRC and I'll explain later in the thread.

just connect to "ione.sytes.net" and you're in.

Probably not, I didnt know quakenet had one so i figured I'd put one up in case there wasn't any perticular server everyone used.

Yeah, it'd be incredibly smart for me to put up an irc server where i hack people and advertise it on FH where i have all my chars in the sig, and link to the domain that i own, anyone can easily look up my personal info on the 'whois domain' places on the web.

Bet you're not one of the brightest ones on fh ..

IRC server with a script kiddie as IRC-Op or approved responsible members of quakenet
IRC server with god knows how many hops, or nice fast quakenet
IRC server with a single node or quakenet with multiple nodes enabling connections if one server is down
IRC server with no host masking or quakenet

Nxs - don't think he was setting it up as an alternative to quakenet he just decided he wanted to set up an IRC server (why not? ) and didn't know there was already popular daoc channels on quakenet.

1) i am 16(17 in few days) and never ever use that piece of shite called IRC cos it ruins game etc and
2) i am willing to bet theres a large proportion of the IRC rr spammers and locations of enemies etc who are much older than 16

imo its just a scapegoat people use to blame it on someone...and no im not saying its all adults but its not all teenagers is it.

90% of IRC Ops have the power go to their head(s) within the first minute.
Hardly ever met a #daoc.prydwen op that wasn't into kb'ing when it suited them.

Don't care much for IRC anymore. #daoc.prydwen taught me how bad it can really be...
