I bet anything you want they wont compete on price though, that top end one above will be $1800+ I bet.... so in trying to compete with Ryzen they might actually fuck themselves.

IMO, it's only a matter of time until the Chinese or Indians get involved and start undercutting the overly priced hardware, much like they did with phones.

Problem with consoles is that they get the hardware and then bung a massive price tag on it.

Same game, different players.

Yup, pretty sure AMD will bring a new line of CPU's out to compete with Intel next gen lot - main issue is intels pricing.

Totally different ballgame - Qualcomm sell their processors to anyone so anyone can manufacture their phone.
None of the hardware is exclusive to a manufacturer ( except apple ).

Some indian/chinese company can't just decide to start making competitive cpus.
