New hope - just some thoughts

I suggest this to anyone sick and tired of RvR zergs and monotomous experience of 50+ game experience.

I have a skald lvl50 which i have had for about a year.
RvR at the beginning was a breeze of fresh air, and exploring the frontiers and setting up ambushes, was quite enjoyable.

However like flipping a coin after a certain patch involving RA´s.

The zerging began.
And people began charging in big bee swarm like formations.
Making a solo experience almost impossible for a warrior template.

I got bored to the point where i pretty much gave up on the game.
I took a daoc vacation.. 3 months to be exact.

Now winter hit my parts and limiting activities past 15.00 hours to indoor activities.

So i tried a new character, it became a shadowblade.
exping felt boring indeed at first, but mostly because it felt tough to start a new char from scratch.

Now i am back to my year old habits of spending lots of time on this char.
I enjoy it alot, and i have built a good friend base for this char.
makin teaming even though rogue base, quite easy.

This has kept me in daoc, and to keep enjoying it. even though it limitations.

So my sugesstion to ya all is not to make a shadowblade, but to make a completely different char that suits your idea of how to play the game.
Do you like zerging make a tank
do you like to surpress, defend make a caster
do you like solo battles make a rogue.

exping gets new and teaming is the way to make it more fun.

I did something similar when tireing severly of my Thane - it was either something new fun or dissapere from the game.
I choosed to delte my thane and start an SB - but to me the game is getting tiresome again as I'm stuck on level 48 with no real hope of gaining much exp anymore as I am forced to solo much wich as this level is - kinda slow.

But don't be afraid to start new chars if you feel you are bored with the game, there can be a whole new experience in it.

I relised I had made a mistake with my thane at lvl 44, but I decided to push him to 50 anyway. I just don't like grouping, too many loose cannons with that, "I gotta join guild group", "I gotta ba afk", "We died, I gonna go" etc, and the usual whiners and people who don't have half a brain but try to lead or do not listen to what people are saying and start scraming W8 after failing to stick and thus constantly ruining the fun. It sometimes makes me seethe with rage to play with dorks. SO many people have trouble consentrating on what you are doing. It ruines the fun for me and if the games not fun... well...

Would like to roll another character but quite a few good games are around the corner. Don't think I want to lvl anther 50 at Midgard H and Lair hell, just takes too much time to get that working and Spindelhalla... gah. Done Albion too and Hibernia's the last frontier, but I don't know..t hink I just wait for some other game where I can group with these same guys... :p

Xandax, it looks like Lair is much better now (or am i that lucky) the last 2 days i get a spot without even waiting (ohh the days before i WC with my alt from 0 to 500+ while waiting for a spot) Hope it will continue that way, i was bored to, so many hours on that list without a spot  soloing Deamshanes in DF almost 5 bubs while not crafting (gives me almost 1000 emerald seals) But my intention was to be 50 asap and i was really disapointed to be one of the regular list waiters and not get exp at all. Now i see a small light burning again, hope it will bring me to 50 very soon...
