New guys to mid Excal!

Hey all, so i finally cancelled my US. Account, after 2 years of playing on servers with 6 hours difference!

As i never played midgard to more then lvl 24 ive decided to start here. I hope midgard aint allready too strong?

Ill be playing with my rl bro (Ibun) and we both got a few years of Daoc exp, hope we can help out :)


Ill be under Xarec (berserker) and my bro under Ibun (shaman).

Im not the fotm kinda guy.
I have played Minstrel, Reaver, Druid, Nightshade on US. Servers, no real tank class yet. So i thought savages are too fotm and Warrior is too standard, and Berserkers got a rough time atm, so why not try one :D

I have no problem beeing weaker then pre patch 1,62....i havent really tried how "uber" they were before the LA nerf so i dont care.

Still think a zerker is nice fully buffed and a Shammy friend to keep my end up....

lol and to think loads of ppl have shelved there zerkers or deleted and ure thinking of making 1 gl hf ;)

you wont get a rvr group as a zerker its savages only atm! jk lol

never the less i really dont care about fotm classes and which class is uber and which is nerfed to hell, i still belive atleast 75% of the character is "the player behind the toon" and not the abilities of the class. Even tho i seriously think Thanes are way to gimp :p

good point, but not true imho.

A Berserker is more or less useless in grp rvr, IF he doesnt use assist, 1 savage and 1 Berserker 1 Warrior assisting eachother is 200% more effective then all of them running around to each their target, its not only the class abilities, but the entire way you play them.

no wasn't being sarcastic mate ;)

my mate (arnor) plays his zerker full-time and doing just fine. prevent flight makes them very, very useful in rvr groups and the damage is on-par with the blademaster and the mercenary. i played arnor the other day and didn't really notice the gimped damage everyone is talking about. fair enough they don't tear through everything like they did before, but they get the job done.

make mend healer and aug/cave shammy instead and you can start your own grps 24/7 + get rvr grps 24/7

Welcome to Excal mate, see you've already experienced this friendly forum so you should be okay no matter what in game :p
Oh, hamstermode rules btw, I don't care how nerfed it gets, always a cool partytrick :cheers:

yea thats what i meant, a totally skill less berserker whould run at 25% efficiency. while someone who can assist, and not gimp themselfs (thats what i meant with basics) whould run at 75%, a Real super berzerk on the other hand adds that 25% extra and can utilize his char to the max. im not sure if u misunderstood me or not tho :). The point is that the stuff that really take skill prolly wont incrase your performance more than 25% as a zerker atleast.
