Ok did the new albion quest a few times heres my findings:
Talk to Hugh in Cotswold (not the one in Prydwen Keep)
Seek Keldan behind Caer Ulf, going abit S.
- Kill him, get "loody map"(yes, bad spelling), angry Hugh, ends quest.
- Get him an invisibility cloak (this item has French spelling)(Edit: They've fixed this now and it now has the correct, English, spelling) , he gives the "Treasure Map" and stealths away.
- Get a fire opal, he gives the "Treasure Map" and disappears.
next: Give Hugh the "Treasure Map" , ends quest.
or: Talk to the Iconnu scribe at Lethantis and give the "Treasure Map", then you can either seek the kobold or return to Hugh which ends the quest.
Talk to the kobold and give the "Treasure Map", he won't give it back until you solve a riddle
- Killing him results in having a "loody map" and an angry Hugh, ends quest.
- Say Money, which is false, you end up having no map. Killing him results in having a "loody map" and an angry Hugh, ends quest.
- Saying Food, which is false, you end up having no map. Killing him results in having a "loody map" and an angry Hugh, ends quest.
- Saying Might, this is the right answer. The Kobold gives back the map and tells you to go dig under the standing stone in Forest Sauvage (the same as used for the "Kindred of the Fallen" quest). Warning!, loads of "forest giant" aggro on the way if yer below 30.
Or: You can instead go back to Hugh before you do anything foolish, give the map and end the quest.
When you approach the standing stones you get a message that you start diggin and eventually you'll find the treasure and you get 3 gnawed fishes and a "Defensive Rune", a lvl 20 inventory item with 3 charges of a self +250Af shield for 15mins. (not confirmed yet if this is rechargeable) (it seems to be an inventory item, so the dur/con/bon doesn't matter, just put it on the quickbar and press use, default "E", and after it the quickbar slot to use it.)
After this you can head back to Hugh, give the map and pretend nothing happened And theres another quest done
To sum it up:
1 easy, fast, good way to end the quest.
1 hard/medium, long, good way to end the quest (Depending on the current ammount of enemies in Forest Sauv)
5 bad ways to end the quest.
Anyone else got something to add to this?
Thanks to Kaitlyn for supplying some of the info.
Gr. Cuth
