We will get 1.71 because when GOA is ready to start receiving files for NF after they get 1.69 tests sorted, Mythic has 1.71 allready out and wont be sending 1.70. I agreed with everyone that its good thing we dont get major upgrades to Europe what are not received fixin patches yet, when patch comes out at US asap but here.. hmmmm.... you get the idea.

Everyone just chill out and start waiting Catacombs! :worthy:

Shooting through walls is a feature, and not an exploit. Or so GoA told me once (isn't there a RA that allows you to shoot through walls?)

Volley allows you to shoot OVER walls, not through them tho..

I`d rather wait for the bug fix`s in 1.71 than get a semi gimped version as it is now. some of the bugs that are getting found are silly. Like skald speed not breaking in combat actually come to think of it. keep that bug it sounds fun ;p

I'd rather wait for 1.70 +bug fixes, Mythic will fix all the major problems before working on a new version imo.

Tbh im worried about the future of this game after Catacombs, okay woow a new games engine dungeons etc. But they need to modify the game play, a LOT!. Not just sort out the whole fairness in RvR, but actually get more PvM'ers into the game. But also get rid of zones like Moderna and think about scraping the /level command ALL TOGETHER! Taking this from a Mid point of view as I dont know Alb or Hib that well, but I get worried about Mid due to Moderna as a community and the introduction of new players and returning players rather than the content of RvR. Saying that we all know RvR is loosing its excitment..... Buff bot or die :-/

Not a flame at all but:
even if you did remove certain areas that are good for pl (or made them less good) people would still find ways to pl and/or level faster than what was the norm back in release days. And its not odd at all imo - if youve been through the level grind once or twice you have pretty much seen everything that PvE has to offer.

RvR will be pointless until Animists get their LOS nerfed. Right now in NF defending a keep is impossible as animists can summon shrooms inside the keepwalls without ever entering the building themselves.

Having took the week of work last week to see in the NF changes, i can happily say the servers were unstable and yes they did go down every single day...

being in the UK it was a huge pain in the asss for me, but then again the changes imho are awesome i would definately stick with 1.71 hehe

The decision has just been taken, and we have the pleasure to announce you that you will be able to enjoy New Frontiers in version 1.70, as its is now pretty much stable with the recent patches on the US server. We have received the first files and the translation work has started.

Of course there'll always be bugs. But I prefer them to be bugs that the players do not know about or that aren't exploitable. Imagine what would happen if we got 1.70 and the americans discovered some nasty unbalancing exploits. US gets 1.71 a few days later, bug fixed. Meanwhile, we have to suffer through a month or two before 1.71+1.72 is installed. No thanks.

We did that with See Hidden already and I don't want to have to live through that again. (Because of the way GOA patched, the assassins on the Euro servers got to use See Hidden for many more months than the US players and consequently the archers were impossible to play for, what, 4-5 months?)

i want them to hold off for 1.71 for one pure reason, if u aint got a lvl 49-50 by the time new frontiers comes out. <unless u own 2nd account necro/cabby> u r totally and utterly going to be shafted finding a grp to get to 50. No ones going to make xp grps for months until the boredom of overpowered realms just still farming them wears off, so all the new players going to get doubley frustrated.

Givf more time , and imo yes, rather have the bugs sorted b4 it comes out anyway, ive waited in dread for my 56k modem download for months, i dont mind putting it off smore lol
