Hi guys

Just a note to say that these drivers are genuinely worth getting, if only for the new features:

  • Application/game profiles - Image quality and performance settings can be defined and saved for each application. This means I can link my optimal settings to, say, ut2004.exe and when I run the game the settings are automatically applied without me having to do anything (simple, but really useful).
  • Simple Design - The drivers have been redesigned to be more intuitive and simple to use (noit everyone likes the new way of grouping settings, but it certainly is less cluttered).
  • nView 3.5 - A new nView multi-display wizard speeds the set up for multi-display modes and numerous enhancements for more efficiently using a single display are included, such as: an enhanced display grid technology for organizing windows on your desktop and a pop-up blocker (?!) to stop unwanted windows.
  • Tooltips - Mouseover tooltips for all graphics control panels now exist, together with an integrated help function to provide explanations of all graphics-related settings (no more wondering what x does).
  • Easy Access - A new right-click drop-down menu item for nVidia settings takes users directly to a control panel for NVIDIA graphics settings.
  • PCI Express Support - Introduction of PCI Express support for the latest PC bus enabled through NVIDIA UDA.
  • Overclocking - Built in overclocking support and temperature monitoring also exists for GeForceFX cards (although I'm not sure if the former is enabled by default or whether it requires some tinkering with the drivers).
I'm not sure about the performance, but these drivers have been in testing a long time, and have been specifically delayed whilst UT2004 bugs were ironned out of the drivers.

Kind Regards

Jonty ... goes back to being away

Sweeeeet, I emailed them with that idea a few months back. I am so taking all the credit...

Ahem. Sorry, a little over excited there.
