Hi there!

I used to play on Guinevere but decided to give the UK servers a go since I had so much problems with lag during peak times. Today I finally got my copy of the European game and I'm ready to start my new druidess on Excalibur.

I'm hoping I could get a few pointers on friendly guilds on Excalibur whom I could hunt a bit with and enjoy a good laugh with

Thanks for your time!

Tell me some more about what kinda druid you want to have.

Healer, root, buffs...you name it, and i can answer you a little more specific :)

Ooh sure! thanks for the quick reply by the way.

In essence I love healing so definately tons of regrowth in my spec, other then that, I'm still torn between going nurture (my old second spec line) or nature.

Basically guinevere is full of buffbots so rarely was I asked to buff people, coupled with the fact that I always wanted to know what it is like to root people :), i'm guessing this time I'll go for regrowth/nature.

Other then that, I love nothing more then a solid hunting group and explore new zones. Quests have never been too high on my list of what I like to do, but I'm always up for a dungeon exploration! Oh and rvr wise, I love it as well as long as it's not let's rush Emain for the zillionth time in an evening :)

unfortunatly excal/hib is mostly focus groups nowadays so exping is pretty boring, those types of groups will love you if you go high regrowth

41 reg // 35 nurt for being to buff ur group without a BB
playing with this spec for a long time now, and i think its the best spec for a druid, since higher reg wont giv you very much extra then a 100% instant (wich is dumb, cause at 100% people will be dead xD)

If u got a BB with you, i would go high nature and rest reg. But that depands on the buffbot if you have one or not :)

My druid is 0.4 from 50 and is RR2L9. Still a lot to learn but having fun doing it.

Final template is 48 regrowth, 24 nurture, 6 nature.

Of course, I specced this way because I intend to do one thing and one thing only with my druid: heal.

48 will give me the last spread heal.

I rarely RvR as the only druid in a group, and even then with so many bots around there are still buffs aplenty.

I've found already in RvR I can keep people alive a very long time if I've got someone slamming anything that gets close to me.

For RAs, I have MCL and GP, next on list is MoC so I can keep casting those heals when tanks are slapping away on me.

MoC combined with last spread heal I expect to be quite nasty :)

And before peeps start replying with horror, yes I know this spec is frowned upon and I've had umpteen omg you muppet etc etc :)

Point is peeps should spec how they want to play, base their chars around that.

I spammed a lot of druids I've grouped with or been around, and all reckon regrowth above 41 or so is not worth it, mainly because there are only a couple of extra spells above 41 and your heals will even out anyway with items and realm ranks.

All valid arguments for not taking it any higher :)

I am undecided about very high regrowth. Whilst it looks good on paper, in reality you need a good group to keep you alive untill you can get MoC. Either that or use stealth, like Ola does, and hide behind the biggest obstacle you can find. Trees, rocks even Firbies :p

I had 45 regrowth for a while and yes, the heals are very nice, but you dont get many so you have to make them count. Also the lack of any real nature spec leaves you defenseless, so tanks that are awake and listening to your sqeals of pain is a must.

I would also recommend saving for Raging Power. MoC + last spread heal + Raging Power = not killing my group ever :)

Just a shame I have Battery of Life and no respec to get rid of the waste of space :p
