New Day of Defeat - how quickly do servers get updated?

Just wondering how long it takes for the barrysworld servers to update to a new version of a mod?

We were thinking of playing DoD on our normal CS server tonight and I noticed the new version of DoD is out late today. I could forsee a situation with the server having been swapped over and all our players not beeing able to join?

Can anyone answer me?

BW cs servers are normally changed over at midnight on the night the patch comes out.
This might happen with DoD, or they may just ignore the game for a bit like they normally do ;)

From your post I guess you are a DoD player? Our CS clan has just started to play it - it seems a great game - refreshingly different and seemingly more tactical than CS.

Time will tell.

Yeah its a superb game m8 Ive been playing it since 1.3. The improvements have been awesome, I only hope 3.0 will live up to it. :)
Btw, do you know if this will be a patch, or a new game ala version 2.0 ?

Well, I've only just started playing it so I have no historical perspective.

Looks like new game types, new weapons and maps... Not that I am clued up on the current lot yet :)

Well yeah Ive been looking at the webby and there seems a lot to be added, so its probably a bloody huge patch Im guessing.
When 2.0 came out you had to delete 1.3 in its entireity, then download the 110mb 2.0 version!

By my calculations, Windows client files should be released at 10pm this evening. That's proper time. None of yer EST/PST rubbish. We inveted time, dammit! Bloody yanks. :eek:

Never mind the mods been delayed due to server error.

oh well as you prolly know by now there was a delay with the release due to the linux build, but it shouldn't take too long to fix and hopefully we will have 3.0 by the weekend ..... hopefully

With regards to it being an update or full release only i'm guessing there will be an update... even thought theres quite a few changes and new gametype, its no where near as extensive as beta 2.0 was, which had the whole gamecode redone and all new maps...this time its only 3 new maps and new gametype with each of the new maps, so i guess its just an update this time :)
