well, i have seen this same attitude whit english peeps, most are nice but sometimes read/heard "THIS IS ENGLISH SERVER, SPEAK ENGLISH"
so i bet german and french peeps are most of nice peeps but there is allways few who spoil community.

it IS a english speaking server. and the rules of conduct say that u HAVE to speak english in /s , /y and /b... NOT doing so would break the RoC and u acually could be suspended for it. prolly never going to happend but......

and it is fking annoying to ask something and get some french / german gibberish as a answer that u have no idea what it is.

As to getting annoyed because someone is 'typing' in a different language, go the fk outside and start learning about the world cos you have no clue, either that or get counseling.

How would you react if the postman bent your mail? go outside and beat him senseless with a moniter cable? jees

There are always many rules for many thing, most are just guide lines for conduct but they still have to call them rules .. i mean come on we all know that if someone types in a language other than english on a english speaking server that its hardly gonna amount to any action from GOA.
Sometimes i can hardly understand what english spoken players are on about let alone french/german but its a just a case of ... move on, its not directed at me ... end of.

Actually Tuppe, many french people (not saying everyone, but many as admitted by many french people i know myself) simply diss english. They say they don't/won't need it and don't want to learn it because their own language is sufficient. I call that ignorance.

At the end of the day the phrase, "when in rome do as the romans do" works for me - if you are on an english, french or german server use that language, it is after all the polite thing to do

Finally be thankful for the common langage: its a pre-cursor to humand-kind advancing, especially in the area of science and in particular medicine where the sharing of (well understood) information is key.

Germans and french are usally so deep inside thiere own asses that they refuse to speak english, thus making communicating harder. And the language is serverside so you can't really change it from client to client.

that french/germans should speak english with you when you go playing on french/german servers???
instead of calling them arses, never thought it possible that most of them simply are not able to speak english (an not simply "refusing to"...)
I understand from you're constructive intervention that you don't want to speak french/german neither, do you? good for the communication really...

i'm belgian so i think i have quite a neutral point of view and what i can say is that generally english , french and germans are exactly the same when it comes to knowledge of foreign languages... and that is what you stated above.

If mythic opened up 3 english servers, 3 french and 3 german this'll all be solved.

Of course that'll open up other problems but meh, QQ.
