You lost me on that one G.

I think they are dreadful cars with a dreadful image.

Each to their own though I guess.

How much will you do me a perm and blue rinse for btw?

Indeed, i wouldn't touch a Z3 with a barge pole; but this is the M roadster, 320 bhp of rear wheel brown-trouser-in-the-wet drive.

Performance wise, does this grab you?

0-60 mph: 4.8 sec
0-100 mph: 10.8 sec
Quarter Mile: 13.1 sec @ 109 mph

From here. Basically gives me Ferrari/Porsche performance.

/Edit .. and Trem, i'll give you a cut and blowjob..er..blowdry any day :D

Oh god, i'm going to be a hairdresser...

You should be ashamed of yourself!

Nice car btw :)

It started to drizzle, and the fuse blew last night for the hood so I wasn't taking my chances putting it down in the rain! :D

Who said the jocks were tough?

Bloody fairies

Anyways G, whats it like? Does it go ok? The interior looks nice actually but you have got to really convince me to like the car.

Bloody hell G, you've only gone and bought the modern day equivalent of an AC Cobra. Good work.

How is it? Fast as fuck I presume.

Scarily fast, it absolutely wipes the floor with the 182. You don't even need to take it over 4000 rpm to make you say "jesus christ!?!?" as you're pinned into the low slung seats. To be honest, i'm already used to the speed which indicates I may not keep it that long and go for a sensible car sooner than later.

I highly recommend you all do the two seater sports car thing at some stage in life, be it an Elise, TVR or even MX5. I loved the MX5, it's just not that fast but it's so much fun (i'm sure Summo would concur!).

Stats from here have it down as 0-60 mph in 4.8 and 0-100 mph in 10.8 secs - brutally quick, certainly up there with TVRs and Porsches... apart from the Boxster which gets left for dust ;).

Got some quotes for maintenance:

£150 for an oil change, £350 for an inspection 2 service (the big one). A replacement VANOS including fitting is about £1400.

A bit TOO enthusiastic Bods. I certainly wouldn't put them in the same league as the Cobra.

No offence G, but your car ain't exactly a motoring icon.

Chuffed you like it though chum, I bet it sounds nice.

oh riiight...so they change your filter, check major components, swap out your sparkplugs, do the oil, scrape bugs off the windscreen and stuff?

over here they call it "small service" and "big service". big service is usually the yearly road safety certificate too, along with full service iirc, but you can get your certificate done separately if you want.

It's the closest you can get to it these days tho. Remember the Cobra was also a girly hairdresser's car with a stonking great big engine in the front. Just the M Roadster is slightly less likely to kill you.....

Never said it was :), i never bought it to be an icon.

Still, icon or not; not a lot is going to overtake me because I lack any power.
