Ooh..just checked my email here at work, and I am in !

My guild was accepted into the Guildbeta way back when, though as yet none of my members have received their invites. So not sure if I have this one as part of guild beta, or whether its a single non-guild invite.

Either way, check those email boxes again people !

Guild invites you think? or individuals? Checked with my guildmembers, nobody else has got one, so its looking like I was just luckily picked rather than my guild invite.

I guess my guild has lost 1 slot now though as a result. Small price to pay though :)

Our guild wasn't picked for the guild beta - so can't be that. :)

Question: Some in guild have forgotten their passwords and secret questions (long time since they signed up - it happens) - is there any way for GOA to resend passwords to the registered email addresses?

Ahhh!! I didn't get in this time either! I don't get it, I have a decent computer and I have been a member for a while now, are you supposed to have an über comp to get in?

Yep, a big wave just went out, this was not the guild beta (as I've said before we'll announce that separately) but was a general wave across all the European communities.

News is here.

If you got an invite and are wondering why you can't log into the beta forum, don't worry. Your forum account needs to be created separately once you've accepted the NDA so allow a few hours for that to happen (it's not an automated process).

I know it's only random but it is still SO annoying. I have a really decent spec machine and been on the newsletter list since day one blah blah blah and then guess what... my mate at work sees me with my fingers crossed regarding the recent big wave of invites and he asks why. I explain about WHO and he signs up - last week. He has one of those widescreen Mac computers on Intel hardware and "boot camps" into XP Pro SP2. He got his beta spot today.....

Personally I think they should do away with the random number generator and just give all the active posters on this part of FH an invite

That's got to be less than 100 people, shouldn't be too hard.

hmm its a good idea, but what you have to remember is that they are looking to test certain machines, and make an ideal minimum requirement. The criteria needed to meet the beta wave might not be a top end machine. It might be a low end machine, so they can see how well it performs with lower end graphic cards and single core processors. Likewise they will be aiming for a recommended requirement, so i am sure thye will invite people with all spec machines so they can get results to show the optimum rate at which the game needs to be run on.

be patient.

Well I'm pleased for him ofc. Got an idea I might be around his house a little more often now. ;)

Shame his old Mac laptop is not the Intel type for err... umm... lunchtime testing. :)

speaking of all these invites, will they launch some sort of stress test? inviting alot of people to see if the game can handle it and such or how so?

I have received (me and a friend) an invite (so we're happy) but without any reason we are banned (Code 701). Anybody an idea?
