My dell laptop is telling me that the battery is reaching the end of its usable life?
Only had it for 3 years?
How do I get a new one? Is it expensive? Is it worth it? Where is the best place to go?
Is there anything I can do to make it last longer?
Thanks Freddies xxx

3 years is generally about right, no there isn't much you can do to really extend its life.

Price can be any where from £50-£100 depending on model etc.

Do you like using it without the power lead connected? If yes, then yes. If not, then no.

You will most likely need to get it direct from Dell. As far as I know, the only Dell parts sold by other parties are refurbs.

Loads on Ebay, I replaced mine with a 9 cell off there and it has been superb. Cost about £20 iirc.
