Well, zerkers are gimp, known fact, my R3L9 bm got an rr10 zerker to 10-20% a long time ago, and I was blunt spec at the time and so was he. But, we all know this game is not balanced on 1 vs 1, right?

even with similar rr it can depend on ra's for instance in a 1v1 with a merc if he's grp spec hes not likely to have ip, but on my zerker i do so more often than not i win.

Any light-tank in a good template, with the basic ra's, played well will put up a good fight. Yes, berserkers may be the least effective amongst hib and alb counterparts but saying the class is gimped is taking it a tad too far. I've won vs higher rr bm's and merc's before in 1vs1's, but I have also got my ass handed to me. No two fights are alike

well, mercs are utterly stupid in a 1v1 melee fight due to their dirty tricks. Nearly as stupid as necros and vamps are.

I have neither banespike nor battler on my zerker, but i've beaten a few higher RR mercs that have used banespike+DT on me, even before the banespike nerf.
That's only because i'm solo specced(high parry) and have solo RAs though.

Normally, if they have equal template and RAs, a merc will win most of the time, even without DT.
Zerkers have lower ABS armour and their evade 3 isn't much better than a mercs evade 1 when they are being hit by a dual wielder.
