Good lucky buddy. Try to speak clear and also try to say Yes instead of Yeah like alot of people do.

Get their early as well, that way you have the 10 minutes of crapping yourself, then you calm down by the time your interview/meeting starts

I know what ur feeling Laddey!! I started a new job last week, fortunately I knew a couple of people working there.

But this is my first real job after graduating from Uni (well i graduate on Thursday) but you know what I mean. It involves learning SQL and my mind is boggling a little bit.

Good Luck!!!

You reckon i should get there early? I was worried about getting there early incase he was really busy and wasn't prepared for me in time and then i'd be put in an awkward spot.

It's better to be early than late hehe. Also it shows you are enthusiastic. But if you got there 4 hours early that looks a little crazy!

I thought there was no interview as it's a new place? :eek7:

Being early is not good as it f*cks up someones dayplan(if any is present) and being late does the same. Just be on time, hang outside if you're a bit early.

It is a new place. Its like this...

I've had 2 interviews, done very well with both. Been offered the job and today and tomorrow is just a... taste-tester, to see how things work behind the closed doors, to meet new staff and see how things actually work.

This was my idea to go in 2 days prior to my start date.

go up to their office 2-3 mins before, if you turn up early its just as bad as turning up late as it shows bad time management :p
If you get there early just have a wander somewhere nearby

Edit: ah thought you had a interview/assesment or something

Ah ok, then you can't really f*ck up unless you show up drunk/not at all or f*ck the bosses wife.

Or he catches you doing it.

If you're willing to work for the pay, take it. If not, say that it's not exactly what you expected and if you could discuss it a bit.

Prepare to offer something "worthless" in exchange for a better pay.

I'd sooner work for him, actually break a sweat and him not to offer me money rather than put me on the spot by offering it me.

How does the pay structure work? Do yiou get paid for each day you work?

Why would he be offering you money on a tester day? Bit confused why you think he will, but to think it must mean you have a reason.

I wouldn't imagine an employer paying you for a tester day! The only time they might is if training was involved in it. But it doesn't sound like thats the case.

I get paid salary, 4 days work 1 day college.

There is no reason really, i asked so i'd sooner know what to expect IF it does happen.

i wouldnt take it personally if it is cash in hand, if it goes straight into your account i wouldnt bother making a fuss as its more effort not to give it once its been put through
