scouts hit alot harder than hunters in bg

scouts are archers not melee people, just like hunters

in one on ones among the archer classes the scouts are the weakest of the 3
but if you put a scout, a hunter and a ranger on a target the scout kills it fastest...
So fair trade imo... although losing to a hunter becuase his grey pet tickles me sometimes frustrates me

It's true though the pets annoy me ... I spec longbow and stealth basicly sarcrificing any chance I have of hurting anyone in melee because that leaves no points for shield/thrust... I shoot someone in a full group .. 3 arrows and he's down.. full group storms towards me .. I turn around .. sprint a while .. stealth and change direction .. I pwned 1 person and fooled 7 ... they all go around looking for me no-one will find me ... then a grey pet still sees me and has to swing 5 times at me to even uncover me...
Full group ganks and kills and laughspams me ...
I've had a few mids who understood this (sorry didn't note your names) a hunter just the other day. I shot him twice he goes out of range and sends his pet to me ... so I start fighting the pet and naturally he comes back in range.. I run towards him to interupt his shooting he runs again ... etc at some point I kill the pet and start running .. of course by then he can instacast his second pet and it pops me out of stealth ... I do /no and /slap on the pet .. he tells the pet to lay of and runs away ... now THAT is respect for each other .. I couldn't kill him .. he couldn't kill me if it wasn't for some bug .. so we don't kill each other

And don't go whining about that it isn't a bug but working as intended ... there is no point in a grey pet seeing true stealth over any range. I can stand in yellow pets and they'd never see me ... but if the owner sends it after me while being unstealted it just keeps seeing me... f00ked imo

to bad they've nerfed scouts bow dmg in Thid thou
Used to hit or ~200 on yellow cons, now I very rarely hit for that, even blue cons can go below 200, thats with + dmg
same with crits, only had 2 450+ crits, 2 patches ago i would cap crit on anything blue or nontweaked.

Quite rare is better than never, 420 is our cap. Although we can two-shot you in melee
My crits usually hit for 300ish, normal for 180. My spear hits for 150 aswell though, plus my pet (apparantly) hits for 70.

Archers in general shines a lot more in the bgs than when they hit 50.
It's more like the old days, no see hidden in thidranki etc.
None of them need nerfs though. Enjoy them while it last.
It will get a lot tougher when you hit 50.
Dont cry out for being killed on distance by a scout. Scouts should have the advantage from distance and you should tear him them down in melee.

Probably because a lot of people in BG nowadays are buffed, my last BG scout had 24+5 longbow and 23+5 stealth (all important for staying hidden when nocking a crit, as standing exposed for 6 seconds is bad) and had damage cap of 466. Will be checking it out for myself soon when I get my latest BG scout to 24.

Think a buffed scouts 2-shots an unbuffed hunter at lvl 50 too.
