Got some hardware problems I guess.

When I've played for about 15-20min my screen gets black and it says "Video mode not supported" but I can still here movements in the background ppl shooting and me running (if I do so) but I can't do anything els then reboot :(

This happens EVERY 15-20 min :(
Anyone know what the problem can be?

LoL...

Just put my old geforce 2 in to test SWG:. flows quite smooth now compared to ATI Radeon 9600pro (wtf is the problem with this card, wasted about 200$ on it)

No "Video mode not supported" anymore :)

/hugs my Geforce 2 GTS PRO :D

Common knowledge that the ATI cards are great BUT the drivers suck :/

I had the same problem, the game locked up after 5-15 mins after login, and it was because the "AGP Texture Acceleration" wasnt enabled.

Its possible to play other games like DAoC and Planetside without AGP texture acceleration, but SWG won't work without it.

Check DriectX9 diagnostic (Start - Run - "dxdiag") on the display tab if AGP texture acceleration is enabled.

In my case it was disabled and the "Enable" button was greyed out (WTF!!!!)

You are not giving enough info to determine if you have the exact same problem, but I solved this by doing the following steps, and I havent got any problem after that:

Uninstall all drivers
Install latest BIOS, Reset CMOS, enter Bios and hit the "config to optimal performance" option.
Install latest MoBo drivers
Install latest gfx drivers
Now run dxdiag again and AGP text acc should be enabled.

Hope this helps

You guys that are running Radeon Cards, are they set at 2x, 4x or 8x?

I replaced my old VivisXS with a Radeon 9000 128 DDR and had instant problems, by simply switching the card from 4x down to 2x i solved a hatful of problems and its run great ever since.

I would guess that its not DirectX thats the problem, but the card settings or the drivers.

There is also a known compatability issue with some ATI cards and Intel chipsets, so check the manufacturers website to see if there is a flash bios (if you use flash that is) fix.

Best to try checking the settings before you install any new patches, they may not be necessary, also (i know this may sound a bit patronising, but its a genuine piece of advice) dont install any unsigned drivers, these are a real problem and i wish people wouldnt put them on the web :(
