Need Mp Chain Set!

Spellcrafters seem to be in a really strange state of denial about booms. I've seen the spellcrafter who blew up my bow (pre-patch) continue to go around telling everyone he's never, ever seen anything blow up and there is no risk whatsoever.

Well i have done about 15-20 5 point overcharges not one did(no i am not a lgm spellcrafter this is for both 50s)

pretty late into the thread now but what about all those times where you said there is no need for 100% qua when 99% will do, you posted those words in loads of threads so why do you need 100% qua if 99% is ok>?

Having new classes come into the game will need every resist capped i guess whereas before you wouldn't.

i spent 6p on the leather itself for one mp!!!

Erm, you do realize that you don't need mp leather underparts for mp chain, yes?

Apart from that, I am using a full MP set of weapons and armor now, and managed to get all my resists to at least 25%, all skills +11, capped hits and all stats except qui (only +42)capped. Using bracers and cloak from SI, a ring drop from SI and some cheap DF and Dartmnoor jewels and belt. I'm sure you can work out an even better spec, but I'm happy.

I don't have the exact spec in my head right now, but I had all parts at a 78% success rate according to Leladias spellcrafting configurator, and was using 99%/MP gems for it. There used to be a bug where you could use 99% gems and the combine would work everytime, no matter how far you overcharged the item. This bug has been fixed with the latest patch. Hence I didn't want to risk my nice little outfit that much.

Hmm with some SI jewelry and a few DF parts, and a 99% armour set and 99% sword/shield I can get all resists to 22+, cap str/con/dex/cha/hp, +11 slash/stealth, +6 instruments and +36 quick. MP is a waste of time since SI came out IMO.

I got all capped stats etc. and 22%+ resists with armsman, so yes, mp does seem kind of pointless, considering the price.

BTW, for lofff's info, here's the locations for those drops:

Daemon Fire Necklace - DF high lords. This necklace is actually a bit crap but I couldn't manage to fit anything better into my setup.
Hooded Shadow Cloak - Zombies, Necromancers and Ghosts quest in SI, fairly easy solo.
Gem of Spirit Abhorrent - pygmy goblin drop, fairly rare, expect to spend ~5 hours farming one.
Scurceol's Belt - Ogre's Might quest in SI, it's hard, very hard, if you want this get on one (or more) of Soulfly's quest raids.
Shattered and Reforged Ring - Drops off the Lindon Family in Dales of Devwy, quite rare, farmed these for about 3 hours without drop the other day.
Bracer of Health / Bracer of the Stealthy - Lost Treasure quest in SI, fairly easy solo.
