i always remember a guy i used to work who at roughly 10:00am every day would wander into the toilets with a copy of the financial times not to be seen for approx half an hour

well as I went to the toilet earlier, a guy was coming out with his laptop and was explaining to his collegue about how great the Wireless network was... I'll leave the rest of you to think what went on... :p

Spunk all over her pillow or cuddly toys, then when she says "WTF did you do that" re-explain the hygiene issue.

She will soon learn to change her ways...or just buy new teddies

Wtf? Its not like i walk up to her and say ' oi bitch, wash your fucking hands you little whore '. I normally say things like ' Nice to see you washed your hands again'.

Well, i'm basing my "immature lil brother" comment on the fact that you call your own sister a whore. EVEN in jest.

But what i meant with it is, sit down with her and have a long talk where you both act like bloody adults.

wonder how it would be in hospitals if all nurses and doc's was thinking the same as u do on "washing theyre hands"..

Well, since doctors and nurses treat ill patiens and open wounds, it's hardly a comparison to your every day family life.

Unless you live in a VERY weird family.

So Seel, basically your saying that because we breath some nasty stuff and because we get particles in the toilet, we might aswell ignore hygiene?
Why don't we just take a dump in the sink and use the water from that to flush it out, would save us a toilet?
As we're getting those bacterias no matter what..

No we are saying that he's obsessive about it... theres no need to be like that. It seems as though he is constantly worrying about whether or not she has washed her hands... surely he has better things to be concerned about rather than something so trivial.

Okay, I get your point then :)

I'm still thinking I'd be obsessed about it too, because it's fucking minging thinking of whether or nor your sisters shit is on the food your putting into your mouth :p

As long as you can't see shit on the food and it doesn't taste or smell like shit, there's no problem. If the preceding conditions are not fulfilled, she should learn how to wipe properly ;).

It's not THAT bad.

Scratching your head and then touching food stuff is probably even unhealthier then not washing your hands.

Why don't you just...THINK that she washes or change YOUR way of thinking?

rofl.. thats the stupidest thing I have read in a while.

I'm just wondering...how did you know again that your sister doesn't wash her hands? Peeping trough the keyhole, or just the good ol' camera behind the mirror? :D

Since this is yet another pointless argument, i'll let my views out in simpler terms.

Not washing your hand isn't THAT unhygienic as the myth that's been floating around has everyone thinking.

You get alot more crap from every day life, and if you thought about them all as strongly as this issue, you couldn't function.

Oh and...i'm not even going to answer any argument that says, in simple terms, "you're wrong and you're stupid". Feel free to say it though. *looks at Cozak*

so your saying you would happily dip your hands into shit and use them to eat say, a burger without washing them?

Do you usually dip your hands into shit when you wipe?

I think the point he was making was, that you do get some shit on your hands when you wipe yourself, even though you can't see it.
He then made a point by exaggeration, so wheter or not you actually DO dip your hands is quite irrelevant!(it is quite nasty though :p)

Well, same could go as an argument here:

Would you piss on your toothbrush and then brush your teeth?

Would you let someone piss on your face everytime you go to the toilet? (Because every time you open the toiletcover, the airwave and particles in the loo flush over your face)

It's all about, well, how to put it...perspective i guess.

As i said before, it's simply 'cause people are told of the "wash hands or get poo on food" that it's so sacred.

I'm not saying people shouldn't wash their hands, i'm just saying that even if they don't, it doesn't effect your life that much.

If someone is wiping their arse and then handling food which you will later be eating without washing their hands its very unhygenic, its hardly a myth. If someone has a problem then simply thinking it isnt there doesnt make it go away, which is what you were implying?

It might not effect your life much no, but its how each person as an individual deals with it, the op obviously has a problem with it.

Just because my room is next to the toilet she uses. I hear her piss and poo she flushes, then walks straight out.

Well i guess this is where, again probably my faut, we have the problem.

I'm talking scientific, how it effects your life without "ewww" factors and feelings and such. Since i don't really give a crap(no pun) myself, i'm not one to talk about the obvious mental factors of it.

This is rather interesting though. Because most people have the time to wash hands(quickly) before the flushing ends(don't know how other country loo's work) so are you sure she doesn't? Or do you just assume? Have you asked?

I know 100% that she doesn't, the sink, and soap is bone dry. If i ask she says she does, she always lies.

Please don't tell me you've gone to such lengths as to every time check on her washings...? :eek7:

Or is your bathroom cycle fixed with your sister? :D

Points by exaggeration are irrelevant.

Say you sometimes give your mate an amicable punch, would you accept: "So you would punch your mate so hard in the kidneys that he dies?" an acceptable argument against such practice? Of course not.

I'd say, throw a fit about it when she's at home with girlfriends, or let them know in some other subtle way... most women have this thing with social pressure, and if your sis is, and her friends find out, and if the majority of them think it's unhygienic, your problem is most likely solved pretty fast.
