Need Hunter Help

I just got my final taming rod off the hunter trainer in Razor hill. I was sorting out my gear when I discarded the taming rod ( I know stupid!!). Now I can't get it back, I worte to the GM and they said to abandon the quest, but I can't as there is no quest I've completed it.

Any help before I retire him and become a rouge! like eveyone else

Not familiar with that item or quest but in the first instance I should write back to the GM and explain what you just told us
