Need Help

I'me having problems getting onto UT servers.
I have a P3 650, 64 ram, voo2. I've added all the patches even some cool sound paks
Everytime I connect to a server using gamespy my pc locks up half way through and when I try through the game it locks up when going to a server.
Can anybody help?

Do you have sound blaster live?
If you do get the last drivers, it solved my problem:
UT always crashing between games and when loading a new game.

DirectX 6. and the old drivers don't get along to good.

That doesnt seem to be the problem.. I cant understand why its happening as it runs perfectly offline

Hmmm check what you have your network connections set at. You may have that set to T3 or something and your running from a 56k modem. Its like the rate setting in QW, if I set that too high I tend to lock up

I also have a p350 with 64 mb ram, but I don't think a voo2 does get along so well I have a tnt with isdn and even then I got big lag sometimes
Also remember that a voodoo doesn't work on directx and its smarter not to use gamespy but click in ut on find internet games
my suggestion a better videocard new drivers with direct x7 cuz that certainly was a great improvement to my pc's performance

I never find setting rate high to be a problem. I always have it set at LAN rate now (20,000) despite the fact Im on ISDN 64k. It runs much better like that than when I set it to ISDN rate despite the fact that f6 shows Im only sending and receiving less that what ISDN rate would cap it at. Strange huh ?
