Porsche allowed it, NFS:pU anyone?

It seems strange that they are happy for their cars to feature in illegal street racing yet worry that their car may look crap when it hits a barrier at 120mph

However, it plays utterly shite, the car bounces off the walls (like Embattle said) without any sign of damage, I can't see to get the car to go in a straight line: every time i steer the car snakes left n right as i try to compensate.

If you're referring to the Drag races, you really don't need to compensate. Just lightly tap the directional button to switch lanes.

Its easy to win when you know how. Make sure you get into the hatch area to start and carry on thru the tunnel, then go into the left hand lane. If you pass the crossing without getting smashed you wont crash into the train :p

Tis fun to fly off the ramp tho :p

nice random-car mod's. Cant wait to mod a Skyline or a Supra :D

I was just going to say, as PR I think did. Older NFS' have had damage, I think it was High stakes that had all sorts of cars with damage, BMW's, Ferrari's, Honda, Nissan. What exactly has changed?

I can only assume manufacturers were wanting their damage to be related to their actual car. With the increasing focus on Car Safety in real life. Perhaps they wanted their BMW M5 lets say, to be more resistant to damage than a 911. I don't know, but manufacturers have demanded more idiotic things.

I know this may sound like a silly idea - but perhaps they've disabled the damage for the demo? Wouldn't make a very good impression if a complete retard smashed up his car on the first corner. Whereas with the damage off they can go 'OMG LOOK AT ME!!! I'M A STREET RACER AND I WON!!!!'. And buy the game. Which makes EA happy and allows them to produce another FIFA game.

Installed it, played it for about 14 seconds, quit to windows, uninstalled.

Not impressed, mostly with all the warnings and copyright notices, and the tickboxes checked for sending your info to 'EA partners'

Fuckoff thx.

PGR2 for the xbox has damage on all the cars, Ferraris's, Trans Ams etcetc. The porsche game allowed it as i believe it only contains Porsche cars... It is when the cars from different manufacturers are compared to other brands that they start to get really uppety and dont like damage on cars.

However as i said, PGR2 has it so why dont others follow suit...
