Guys,

I've got a dilema, couple of months ago I completed Baldurs Gate:Dark Alliance on the ps2 with my cousin and ever since we've been looking for another multiplayer game to keep us addicted again.

I've got a gamecube and a ps2 so if anyone can think of any cool multiplayer games thats worth getting let me know! (dont want PC game suggestions, im well aware of whats available there)

Try Monkeyball on GC or even Timesplitters 2 on either system.

......... or get an XBox and play HALO in co-op mode.

Monkeyball just didnt do it for me, it needs to be something coop really thats got a bit more depth to it than just tricky puzzles.

TS2 has a co-op mode.

HALO is the one though. Play it on Legendary mode in Co-op.

Considering XB is now £160 + 2 games - may be worth selling the PS2 for. ;)

Heh, just because you're a Super Moderator don't think you can get away from 'post it in the right forum'.

Post it in the right forum. :p

Well i went on a spending spree in game and got the following games:

GC:
Timesplitters 2
Eternal Darkness

PS2:
Gauntlet
Vice City

Gauntlet looked similar style of play to BG, turned out to be an utter pile of crap though. Timesplitters is fun but split screen its very hard to play on a small tv. The others are single player but hey vice city rocks! Not tried Eternal Darkness yet cos left it round cousins accidentely, doh.

Gauntlet will defo be going back to the store, utter utter poo.

Trebz you utter plonker! My grandmother (R.I.P) could have told you Gauntlet was crap  .

Good choice on the others though. :)

ps. One other game that I got recently was Beach Spikers (Female Beach Volleyball) for the Cube. Pretty good fun on multiplayer and the graphics are top notch. ;)

the new need for speed game on ps2 is quite a good laugh in MP.

got a pc, xbox and ps2, pc wins hands down on game quality etc

cant decide between xbox n ps2, ive had the ps2 for over a year, yet ive only seen 4 games that are actually "good" (gta3, gtavc, gt3 and tony hawk 3 - all sequals hm...and i had to wait a couple of months before one of those came out).

Where as ive only had an xbox for a couple of months and ...Halo..amazin game. I like conflict desert storm, good sp or coop, but i can understand that thats a taste issue, the other games ive tried (project gotham etc, ive liked but not been bowled over by).

Ive got a mate who has a GC, not a chance mo fo, 90% kiddy games with no depth, the rest are ripoffs, rewrites or poor substitutes, but then again ive always hated the "fluffyness" of nintendo games.

It's the split-screen thing that pisses me off about Halo co-op, and I've got a stonking great big telly but it's still crap :(

I want some good co-op games like Diablo etc that you play on the same screen together. I dunno, something like Mechcommander might work?

I think it boils down to low resolution - this is why my x-box has sat unused for most of the last 3 months, I just can't get used to the crappy resolution of a TV.

The fact that resolution is a major issue just goes to show that the xbox is pap.

:D

I actually agree with that comment Prime which astounds even myself :)

Tony hawk 4 is out on the 22nd which looks better than 3 and I had better mention PES2 incase Bodhi reads this :)

no resolution would be a problem for him on any games console.

What about metal gear solid 2? Tekken Tag/4? Devil May Cry? Wipeout Fusion? Onimusha?

To name very few as I can't really remember any others..

Pap compared to what? Relative to a PC it's less upgradeable, limited to TV resolution but 1/10th the cost so difficult argument there.

Pap compared to other consoles? Well who gives a rats arse? I refer all arguments here :)

Well, ok

MGS2, i didnt like, thought it was severely overhyped.
Tekken Tag was ok for about 30 mins, then i realised it was teh same as every ohter beat em up, and .. dull.
Devil May Cry, started promisingly, but got shit very very quickly, once again suffering from no longevity.
Wipeout Fusion was also very very shit, took it back the day after i got it.
Onimusha was again nice to start, but pants in the long run, so many ps2 games are incredibly shallow, it takes a game like gta 3 to show just how rubbish and short sighted they are, my list is full of games that have massive playability and huge options that guarentee the longevity of the game.

I prescribe a 500mg of takeajokeacilin :)

Despite the arguments I like all 3 of said consoles. I only own a ps2, but that's because I wouldn't have time to play the others and the ps2 came out first.
