Right, simple question (I hope) for you Necros out there.

I use mine mostly for PL and cash farming. Is it worth doing the whole MLs and Artifacts thing? If so, what do I choose (ML wise) to benefit my PL sessions the most?

There's not enough spare time in my life unfortunately - haven't got enough time to play DAoC for the toons I want to XP or RvR with as it is

ML for PvE necro are useless imo ( although i only got experience with convoker)
Artifacts well guess Guard of Valor or Nailah's robes could be nice in PvE +4% unrestricted magic damage, Tartaro's gift (+5% unresticted magic dmg) maybe but it lvl's in RvR and wears out rather fast so bit of a waste to use it in PvE. Other artifacts are either just for fun or a some stat increase or a shape shift ability ( still need to get my first tho ;( )

I've not bothered doing any MLs on my Necro... I only use him to farm cash, and it flows in quick enough for me. I think I played him so much levelling him from 1-50 I've gotten bored.

And then there's the "Necros are pants in RvR" situation also, which I don't think any number of artifacts will fix... So I am levelling someone else to do them (Not done a single ML yet!).

If you farm AC you could go for the caster reward from the ToA quest "Nahkt's Fragmented Mind", haven't got it myself, and don't know for sure if Drakorans class as reptiles... but if they do.

Duration of spells 5
Magic damage vs reptiles 10%

It's not an arti either so no leveling

Oh yeah, with regards ML's. Convoker will be useless to you PvE, and Stormlord minimal use. Only thing's that work PvE are ML1 Dazzling array (-5% chance to be hit) and maybe ML4 dex suppression cloud... but not sure on that one. Probably best to just do ML1 when there's a raid on, all the others will be useless.

There is one interesting prospect though, as convoker or stormlord you could be... interesting... in RvR. So far as I'm aware the ML lines are cast from you not your pet. I dont have a necro (yet) so I don't know how well you can leave the pet somewhere... but just think of the fun you could have sitting in AMG with that PBAOE hibbie group no one can shift dropping DD/Debuff storms or even battlewarders, crystal titans and DD/Power Mines while invulnerable

MY necro has gone convoker alright, only ML1
but i am using TO and in AC it's dead handy ( thats where i lvl'd it as well)
Does any1 know if the % decress transfers to the Pet as well ?

Good arti for necro is belt of moon, once i get mine to lvl 10 i can stop carrying about 6 spare staffs

Yes, get an artifact for your necro so it would be destroyed in record time!

NF seems to fix most of the problems with the necros ras so maybe it will give necros some chance too...

Edit: Well, BoM sounds good to avoid having to carry loads of staves but nothing after that...

My necro is ML8 convoker atm but dont expect to cast the DD traps or storms inside milegate rooms with pet outside. ML ability's quite often fail because pet is to far away even if its just on follow. The range between shade and pet is very small for traps or storms to cast succesfully, and even when it fails because pet is to far away timer gets reset so u cant recast it right away

Can still use artifacts after they hit 70% con and 0% dur, only thing u lose is +skills if it has any.
