Necros after the patch

I was just wondering...all the moaning about necros at the moment...lets just say..if (big if) the LOS bug..exploit..glitch..is fixed and mids or hibs still die a nasty screaming death from the necros...what will thay blame it on??. ..no whine...no flame...no pointing fingers...just a curious question that is bugging me.

Think the whine was about necros abusing los bug during keeptakes...so there shouldn't be any whine when los is working...

kinda takes the fun out of doing /rude to the necro ghost when hitting the gates though :/



btw.. rumor has it that savages are able to deal incredible damage with 2h weaps.. something else to flame/whine about perhaps.. :p

So in theory a super-lucky savage could hit a total of 16 times in one round!!!

Of course, considering we have zerkers for albions/hibs to whine about they tend to over look this. Much like enchanter pets have become overlooked since Necro's came along :)


Oh, and if sombody gets killed by a necro once LoS is fixed and then goes on to whine about it i'l be first in line to laugh at him ;)

bonedancers are buggers :) got the jump on a troll with a staff in BG with my nature druid. then just before my dot killed him the pets came running ;( i shoulda started bashing the commander but didnt know thats how your meant to killa bd then :D

We will see what happens, but judging from vnboards, necros are pretty shit in next patch.

Altho I wouldnt rely to much on theinfo on them boards.

yeah nerf savages even though the chance to quad hit at level 50 with 50+11 in h2h is around 6% according to the TL.

and we also have absolutly no, none, nothing in the opener department (woot level 6 taunt style opener? pwnd!)

But you can expect to hear so much whining on these boards.

Bet you anything at least someone will say Mythic over-nerfed them, took it too far the other way and that their class is totally gimped now.

And I bet you that person will get a LOT of replies :)

They are perfect to powerlevel RvR-viable classes :p

And for powerlevelling they need some RA's. MCL if they are low on power (yes that does happen sometimes), WP and MoM look nice too.

Rest of the RA's are or broken or don't have any effect on them :)

Savages have very random damage, and aren't like zerkers who hit high atm every hit.

BUT, they can quad hit for lots of damage, and crit every hit.

A lucky savage can take out a buffed armsman in 1 hit.

No no.. With the LoS fixed next patch (if) then there is a new problem.
Minstrells with Climbwall!! 3-4 mincers 3-4 infils climbs the wall.. then what? Where did the keep defence go?

Just look at the classes mids n hibs call gimps, says it all.

So, using a bugged style doesn't matter, or aoe attack speed debuff on a style isn't good? Hib LW is just as fucked as you - Celtic Fury all the way, from level6... What about Thrust in Alb? Sure there's DF, but it's not an anytime style and only 1 class can use it properly really - that leaves you with Sting unless you want to do half of Garrote/AH damage with pretty much same endurance usage, or have your 1st style in chain do no added damage.

Don't whine about H2H being crap :rolleyes:

He's know the fact 1 necro can kill people inside the keep before the doors are even down, now maybe if it where like assasins, where they had to risk themselves to do so it would be ok, but the necro, and the pet, sit outside safe, while the pet happily nukes for 200-300 through the walls.

Thats what he knows about Necro's.

You just proved my point mate, it's ALL people seem to know about necros. I play one and am glad they took this 'feature' out as I see it as bug abuse. Why they don't do it for chanter pets at the same time is beyond me (ok, slightly diff mechanics, but still unfair warfare...). Apart from that, the necro is still a VERY NICE caster with way better survivability than cloth wearers, and THAT's why the necro is still a very viable choice in RvR. I sure as hell am not retiring mine...

Necros are the most fucked up caster in the game (in both good & bad)... Anyone who's played one enough know that. Most others are just clueless whiners.

Agree Belth, for every whine about a "Bug" there is 5 things that are a nigthmare, I have a neat little bug that pissing me off recently that means I need to cast my pet three times within the keep when I go from the courtyard to the roof. since it takes 20 secs to cast the pet you can see how much fun that can be.

I have seen people manage to go through doors that I cant, do they do anything special to allow them to do it?

As for necros being shit in this patch thats yet to be seen, mine will still lvl alts and so forth at a staggering rate. Half the slots full of BG ready alts now :)

According to few US players, on one of the Pendragon 1.60 versions, it took necros to get from the bottom of the lord tower to the lord around 2 minutes... You had to jump up each step of the stairs.

I sure hope that got fixed :mad:

I've also noticed the "door bug", it's annoying as hell, but I haven't taken my necro out (to pretty much anywhere) since hitting R2L1, so I haven't gotten totally pissed off by not being able to move reliable anywhere with such small corridors.

Another thing the clueless whiners don't know is that the LoS-exploit while defending a keep leaves the necro pet pretty vulnerable, as you have to position the pet so that it's within 1500 /loc of your targets, which in turn means you won't be nuking very much farther than the immediate vicinity of the outer door. Atleast I never managed to nuke anyone except the people bashing the door, so I left it after few tries and proceeded to try wiggle my pet on the battlements so I could nuke any AoErs in the range. That left my pet vulnerable to successful AoE and that means I was vulnerable.

Maybe some necros "mastered the exploit", but without actually wanting to exploit the LoS code or stumbling upon it you get tired of just moving the pet around with the clumsy interface and not accomplishing anything :p

You simply dont have time to get into the lord room if you are taking the keep, if youre lucky and manage to get yer pet partially up to the lord you have to nuke from outside the door because its all over if you try to recast pet inside.

As a Necro I have been unable to even park my pet in the AMG room or to even pass through it because of the issues with the shade going through doors, I saw some mention of them fixing the pet/shade door combi in 1.61 or 1.62 even though they mentioned it in 1.60 so I suspect it still aint fixed in this latest patch for us.

I have got so wound up with it I wont go to keeps for defence because you simply cant move about.

But then again Hibs/Mids dont wanna hear all this negative stuff about Necros it spoils the image they have :p

I guess I'll roll some more new classes with it.
