Sorry I dont know the alb classes that well <soz> but how close do Necros have to keep their pets to them?

fairly close, i would estimate 500 range or something, otherwise they cant channel the spells through the pets, just get a msg about it then :)

edit: added some

when about to loose the pet it says u will loose it in 10s, and then if you dont move into proper distance u loose it.

A technique that can be used when wanting to go deep into dangerous places is to put pet on stay, run like HELL as a shade to a safespot, loose pet and do a new one, rinse and repeat.

one more thing, has anyone appealed (rightnow) that necros is able to port inside enemy keeps and what was the answer from GOA?

Necros pet range is 1500 (to stay in shade form) .. 500 to cast

I believe someone complained about the gatekeeper issue but because its not an *official exploit of a bug* or something they cant/wont do anything. Not like a necro can do much once inside that an infil cant and if you drop his pet outside he dies quite fast :p

Necros and enemy gatekeepers..... Working as intended..... Until Mythic decides it's not (i.e. gets snowed under with whining). :)

true, true.. not like there wasn't a group of 5 of us on their battlements most of the time :p didn't really need a necro. they were just there for the scenery.

1500 is the range at which you get the 10 seconds warning on your pet dying. However, the 10 seconds warning is completely ignored if it goes over about 2500 or soehting and he dies immediately. When your pet turns and runs after an archer who missed him without you noticing, your first warning is often the 10 second warning, however, you are moving in the other direction from your pet, so he will die within a second or two. A good example of how low the range is is I lost my pet once whilst trying to make him buff a group mate while runnign with minstrel speed. By the time he'd finished casting, he'd gone out of both ranges and just died...

I have to keep on passive becasue ive died a few times like that. Then again the pet cant hit for crap in melee so no big loss

can you root/mezz/stun a pet and if the necro doenst notice it, it will also go out of range?

Would be nice... :D
