Necro Spec

As far as i can see most people are going full deathsight with their necro's so i want to try somethign different. I am looking at 47 Death Servant and 26 Deathsight. I get a couple of nice self buffs and a pretty decent dmg DD shout and a very nice PBAOE DD (219 dmg). Although it would be nice to spec 29 in Deathsight for dmg absorption it means i would miss out on about 45 dmg on the PBAOE. Does this spec sound like it will be viable? Although im probably gonna try it anyway .

I think most of the 47x 26y specs are at least slightly viable for PvE.. but the powertaps are going to keep the speed up at the 40+ stage..

OK i think i'm happy with 47 Death Servant. As i understand it Deathsight is the easiest to level with? If so i will keep Deathsight maxed till 26 then start bringing Death servant up.

fine for soloing - cant compare with others but isnt an insta self-nerf

I dunno, seems a lil weird how they set them up, the two cool things about being a necromancer, the power stealing and transferring, and the chain lifetap casting whilst in melee.... are both in the same spec line.

maybe they want a clone army of necros

My ickle necro is level 10, and got there in an evening with little real effort, chaining orange and killing yellow when mana gets low to refill. The class nearly even had me whining that I couldn't chain orange all the time 'cause I was getting low on power... see what it does to you?

Just waiting to see how necros fare in RvR

Im being totaly different and going 50 painworking and rest into deathservent.... now you wont see many of us with that spec around

39 sight 4 pain 37 servant ill probably gimp myself in pve and rvr what what the hey its working well at lvl 28.

I'm going with Martok's spec. Not that I think I will take the necro to 50 -- it is a bit annoying to play. Rather stupid when you can't enter shops through the doorway; pain in the arse when you can't cast 'cos the mob is hitting your pet.

Oh - and who was the bright spark at Mythic that let you put points into Painworking at levels 1-4 but doesn't give you access to the spells? Nice work
