Nazi modding on VNboards

Heh - the good old VNboards have been doing some crazy modding to protect the good name of DAOC - any threads that were about the Euro servers problems or suggestions about the hack were deleted.

One guy was even threatened with a ban for re-posting an official communication!!!

They now seem to have given up on this - the truth is out :)

Presumably they have been pressured by Mythic into these actions but its still pretty silly - the truth will out and they arent the only board in existence :)

Its a great illustration of the good thing we have here on the barrysworld/game boards!

Edit - bah cant spell here it seems - sigh!

Why would they want to cover this up? GOA are at fault, not Mythic.

Don't read VN much so missed all that. Sounds quite amusing though. They should have realised there are other forms of communication and forums to post on.

Given that several thousand European players and a few US players that play here too are aware of it, trying to keep it quiet on VN isn't really the smartest thing to do :D

True but how many people who dont know all the details would simply assume its a problem with DAOC itself?

I'm willing to bet its a lot of them - Mythic's interest in this is understandable but pressuring sites into covering things up is not - its just bound to backfire...

Head to DAOC Catacombs. Sanya is there too. The word is out and they're not stopping the threads. Please do post in the same thread if you're going to post. Don't want to see all threads deleted just because of flood-spamming.

Sanya WAS there, she hasn't been back yet...mind you, from the posts she did make, don't expect much more than that :(

The editted/deleted posts were all made before GoA made there statement. Once the statement was made they had no choice but to believe :p

From the PM I received I got the impression that Amodin (lol @ mods name) was a) not reading the posts fully and b) so set on making sure that there was no Mythic bashing on his Round Table forum that he would do anything.

BTW Tilda I think your modding has improved considerably over the months :clap:
