Nazgul Recruiting

Due mainly to WoW and the long summer nights, the numbers have dropped in Nazgul recently to new low levels, also with the website being down there obviulsy has been no new posts for applications..... So TADA here is FH....

For those who dont know, Nazgul are one of the oldest mid/excaliber guilds of today (Fom Alliance), Good ol Thorgood steared the ship well and have conquered many a ml/epic/hib/mid mob in a good fashioned swipe of the hammer. WoW hit us bad and still many an ex Nazgul still are hooked in the endless world of PvEcraft. A few recently have left due to low numbers in the guild and are now currently with other guilds spread through mid/excal.

So this is the now, and Nazgul are opening recruitment for fresh new blood to help forge a new hammer for Thor and a Spear for Odin. We are not a fotm guild although we do have regular rvr each night (no specific setups, just guildies) and theres of course much PvE to be had also, wether is leveling artis or doing ml stuff.

The hardcore of Nazgul remain, Crushall is lurking ever beneath his smokey chimney in the housing zone, Niena, Tels, Mal, Killer, Isle (and cough* myself) are frequent rvr outees and can be usually found /faceing to some enemy in the frontiers.

We are looking for freindly people with a good sense of community in doac, newbies are welcome and get all the help a established guild like Nazgul can offer, as well as ardent lvl 50's who have seen all and done all. We still play the game like its new, never no moaning (only after being steamrolled by the same fg for the 6th time whilst solo ) Always still place for PvE with artis etc and the inc Darkness Rising, whereby are looking to do the Champion levels as a guild.

With the cluster also inc, we feel this is the appropriate time to start the recruitment, so once again we can rise to the Goa style of Gameonics and kick some alb and hib butt !

The website is currently down as part of this drive comes a new sparkling website and all, so whilst the webmaster is driven insane with our demands, all you have to do is /who nazgul and pm any member and ask for either myself or another officer and we can have a nice chat about it all, ex members are welcome too

Nazgul seems like it has a good guild ethos, and I know it was certainly a good guild in the past, but a /who nazgul at 6:30pm last night gave no matches (and later on it showed 1 member online) - would it be a case of jumping on a sinking ship, or are you expecting an influx of players soon?

Most members are adults with jobs so the 6.30 time is about logging on time for lots of the guild. An evening usually consists of 8 + members online, hopefully when more join that will increase some. Its up to people wether to join or leave an exsisting guild to join up, but the structure is there, would just be nice to have more folks and banter in /gu, sinking ship by no means, me and crush and the officers will sail it till daoc dies.

We have alts in guild which have come the last few days, where their mains are in other guilds, its not a problem.

since when did that rule changed?
i am ex officer of nazgul, and there was a rule in the guild.
Mains should be in the guild before alts gets invite

but could have been changed ofcourse. Nazgul great guild. altho i don't see much familiar ppl there any more. But nazgul always had good ppl in guild, so i think there are still a bunch of great persons in nazgul.

Reason i left nazgul about a year ago was i was forming a rvr guild together with friends and ex nazguls that wanted FG rvr.

This is very true, used to be this way, and if guild ever get to the number of members it used to have, it might very well be enforced again someday, this rule was made to make guild a place for familiar peeps playing in a social manner, and for 3+ years this rule has worked well for guild, and only caused us to loose very few members we sadly had to tell to leave.

But we are pre-Toa/WoW now, and like most guilds its caused a big loss in numbers, together with those peeps like Bazza, Chobb, Chunk, Galdora, Thorgood, Ljucilla, Scaterik etc, list is very long unfortunately.
These were all the back bone of the guild who helped keeping the social life of guild alive.

But its time to think ahead and not back, so some rules we used to live by in guild, dont work as intended anymore, and a new Guild CoC is next for me to start working on.

Also i might add, we have by appointing Mas Co-GM taken first step in direction of getting guild in right direction, since i dont RvR much, and atm, dont play a lot in general, we now have a full blooded RvR player as GM, to help Niena, Tels, Nauticay, Malsham, our officers, with showing our colors in RvR, since that is where we need find our new members imo, game is turning towards RvR most, and PvE less for our guild.

We are atm adjusting to this, and imo the staff of guild doing a damn fine job at doing so.

Nazgul is by far a dying guild, were just catching our second breath, and new faces joining guild all the time, so future is looking promising
