Name Trouble on US servers

Hey

Have just been looking a around the US servers and found out that my name is taken on the US server by a lvl 12 paladin there is unguilded atm.

This kinda sucks. I have been playing whit that char for 8 years now and most friends now me under that name.
I know Netcode have the same problem whit a guy that have a lvl 10 char aswell.

I know the FAQ says that if there is a name conflict u will be able to rename ur char, but will it be forced even if ur char is on anther server and another realm?

Yep it will be enforced on your character... If you dont choose another name I think they will generate a name for you...

Or it could be the fact that if you dont choose another name you wont be able to play it until you have chosen another name.

Imo, they should automatically put EU at the beginning of all EU account holders so when we log on they wont have to change our names

Why not try to contact the low lvl chars and ask if they are prepaired to delete their char and start a new. You in return can offer game gold, pl them or any other in-game help.

I also have the same problem for ALL my toons, i was thinking as chipper said, either putting EU after or Ofexcal after my names!

just an idea, with EU at the end at least everyone will still know who you are.
