name the cheats out there

this thread is to be able to identify cheaters when you meet them..
i know of some:

1. i know of this repair outer keep doors from inside cheat, and i know mids are using them.

2. i know of daox, even though i dont understand how this is a cheat!

We have investigated this and it is not regarded as bug exploitation. Line of sight is not currently required for repairing objects and while we can hope this to change in the future, it is not currently considered a bug to rapair items not in line of sight.

I wonder if it's smart to list the cheats here by name and function... by doing this you will lower the treshold for people to explore them and actually start using them.

And repairing outer keepdoor from inside is no cheat, nor is it an exploit. This has been said by Mythic.

soi dnt think writing a cheat function would make more cheaters.. but make us more aware of who we are about to duell etc

That's cheating according to Glottis, Mythic however feel differently as they have publicly stated.

Exploiting a known bug is always regarded as cheating.

Its just wether Mythic can efficently correct the bug or not. If it will cost them too much in programming time then it will be included as a "feature" in future patches. Business is Business.

Ok totally Q3 is cheat free if you use osp wich everyone does (if your serious)

Can't see why useing Daox would be a cheat.. just an utiliy for those who cant afford 2 comps

Does Daox not contain that little old radar thingy. A single yes or no will suffice no need to name the proggy that has it if Daox doesnt.
If it does then it is illegal.

I dont see any need to run the game in window mode either, if you need to check something on other sites then log out of the game and do it.
I never have any need to run DAOC in windowed mode can't really see why others should have a major problem with it.

Daox does NOT contain anything else than the software to run daoc windowed. All Daox does is to let you run it in a window.
