I imagine Sniper pissed some little boy off by shooting his ass, so this kid thinks hmmm I'll show him, changes his name to Sniper, installs OGC and off he goes

Not 100% accurate.
I remember tweaking some of my settings and I got kicked for having a cheat (cant remember the settings - it was something about opengl)
Do i cheat - NEVER. Those of you who have seen me play whould know that
Would I cheat - NEVER. Theres enough lame ass tossers out there.
Unless you have the WONID AND proof, NEVER accuse someone of cheating.
Makes you as lame as the cheaters.

Yeah I remember I had that for some bizzare max size thing left in my autoexec. I typed exec autoexec.cfg to try to re enable the F1/F2 thing when it first came out, and it said to the whole server I was trying to cheat somehow, though it didnt kick me. I was embarrased though, particularly as I play CS with the highest possible settings and at high resolution.
I might add that Ive never changed or removed any settings in my autoexec, but now if I exec it in game HLGuard does nothing...

I got banned briefly from BY from having a file called loader.exe, which was used back in beta7 to fix corrupted demofiles, in my HL directory.
Luckily got reinstated
The plague of cheats that erupted just before CSGuard first came out was put down very well by CSGuard but amongst the 'top flight' of players now I think it's become more of a hindrance than a help.

Missing the point a little, it was VAC, not HLG.
There was a player on BW12 the other day using a few names very similar to snipert, but never actually snipert.
