Seeing as both of my posts have been closed, thus denying me the oppurtubity to respond, i feel the urge to post a third.
Feel free to close this immediately after my post, as it is made primarily to explain the second posting. While the spirit of the forums allows and encourages replies, know that this isnt made to incite said retorts, but merely to justify the second post, seeing as i have been accused of deliberate antagonism of the mods here, i feel i am entitled to a response, after all, we're not VN boards here
I accepted your asking me to self-censor my sig, accepting that the word censored is insulting to people. If you monitor my posts you will find i refrain from swearing whenever possible (or sober) in an attempt to honour this un-written civility.
If you note my signature you will see it has been edited. This was done immediately upon my reciept of your PM regarding it. As i said, i both accept and appreciate the situation you are coming from.
Now.
What rule prevents me explaining to people about the situation? After all, the concept of a signature is someone's moniker within this site, and should be treated as such. Especially seeing as both are quotes, one of which was an insult directed at myself. I feel justified in explaining the situation to others. I was not aware that said explanation was against the rules here.
Now perhaps you closed the thread on the grounds of post-farming. Admittedly, when accused of post-farming in my first post, i replied 'busted'.
However, my response was based on a belief that any non - essential post is a farming one. No one needed to know my sig was changed forcibly. No one woke up esspecially early to check the status of my sig. It was a non - essential post. It could, in my opinion, be considered farming. Feel free to lower my post count by the number of posts i made if this was your reason.
I am a fierce advocate of free speech. While i accept that within the boundaries of the forum we are not entitled to speech freely, i don't feel either of my posts were overstepping the mark of what would be considered insulting, racist, etc etc. They harmed no one.
I did not lie. You asked me to change my sig. I posted that you asked me to. You closed my thread. I posted that you closed it.
I did not antagonise you. I didnt insult you, slander you or set out to undermine your authority. I did not say i felt these actions were unjust, indeed i did not question them. I merely reported the absolute facts of the situation.
