Foo Fighters (Everlong acoustic is really good)

Good call, Everlong is one of our favourite songs ever and it had never entered my head, the accoustic is pure sex. We will definitely be having that somewhere.

Good call, love Ryan Adams in a not-heard-much-but-like-what-I-hear sort of way.

How about a bit of classic Elbow?

We are having an Elbow song somewhere but we have to be careful not all of them are Elbow, Newborn is winning at the minute I just hope no one listens to the words. Powder Blue is awesome though.

dont listen to the Ryan Adams 'come pick me up' lyrics too closely though

We are having the same problem for our wedding Trem..

As we are both into Rock/Metal it is hard to find something of a compromise..

The only good thing is alot of bands now produce acoustic versions of tracks so we will probably have a bit of Nightwish, some Green Day and some Foo Fighters (Everlong acoustic is really good)

Ooh, Nightwish, good choice! :)

dunno what you mean?

I wish you would
Come pick me up
Take me out
Fuck me up
Steal my records
Screw all my friends
Theyre all full of shit
With a smile on your face
And then do it again

I know it's not the favorite band of...many many people and the name laone puts you off, but listen to it from a "non band hating" view.

It's a nice song, very sniffly too.

I like that song Toht but I can't get away from the fact it sounds like Tenacious D when he does his Dio inspired songs.

Some of Embrace's finest...

Honey, It's been a long time coming
And I can't stop now
Such a long time running
And I can't stop now
Do you hear my heart beating
Can you hear that sound
Cause I can't help thinking
And I don't look down

And then I looked up at the sun and I could see
Oh the way that gravity turns for you and me
And then I looked up at the sky and saw the sun
And the way that gravity pulls on everyone, on everyone

Baby, It's been a long time waiting
Such a long, long time
And I can't stop smiling
No I can't stop now
And do you hear my heart beating
And can you hear that sound
Cause I can't help crying
And I won't look down

And then I looked up at the sun and I could see
Oh the way that gravity turns on you and me
And then I looked up at the sun and saw the sky
And the way that gravity pulls on you and I, on you and I

Can you hear my heart beating
Can you hear that sound
Cause I can't help crying
And I wont look down

Borderline sloppy tho :D

We've kind of come to the conclusion that the music we will have for our first dance will be Nightwish. We both love the band and like the fact that only a couple of people at the wedding will have a clue who they are!

You would think when you like music so much this should be an easy decision but it just makes it harder!

I like your thinking though Vae in having a song that very few people will have heard before - sort of makes it more special between the two of you.

We still can't decide on anything except the "fluff" music which will be played while everyone is arriving and waiting for my grand entrance and (god only knows why) but we have put Belgerath in charge of that

I have to hand the songs in tomorrow and I am almost there.

Guests waiting -

YouTube - Foo Fighters - Everlong

Samm walking in -

YouTube - Elbow - Powder Blue

As we sign -

YouTube - Neil Finn - Try Whistling This

As we leave -

YouTube - Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter

Although Yellow Ledbetter isn't really anything to do with love or stuff its just an amazing song and one of our all time favourites and it felt almost dirty and disloyal to have no Pearl Jam played. Neil Finn has most meaning at the end of the song but I also love it and its our wedding so meh.

What you lot think of my choices?

Nice choices Trem :)

I think you are right in what you said, the most important thing is that its your wedding so you should play what you like and screw everyone elses opinion.

Out of curiosity - what are you having for your first dance (if you are having one)?

We aren't having one but in a perfect world and in Samms head it would of been Thriller and we would of done the Thriller dance :D
