Drummer, I can see how you reason with the 50CS, 50 LW strategy. I personally think the drawbacks outweigh the advantages of such a setup though.

Plus side :
- You can change between slash, pierce and thrust damage. Beeing theoretically able to reach the +15% bonus against all invaders ( it goes for PvE mobs as well of course )

- The lvl 50 LW style lets you slam the enemy.

- You reach the highest style for both CS and LW.

Downside :
- You'll have very weak defence. Low parry and no shield. This makes it harder to exp.

- With ~40 in your main weapon you still reach the low damage variance of having 50 in the skill ( due to bonuses from weapon and realm rank )

- The CS 50 style has a bad rep. hard to trigger.

- The LW lvl 50 style is a side positional ( due to change for back positioinal ) and is also a bit hard to use ( ive heard )

- RvR battles are often very hectic.. I think it will be difficult to find the time to swap weapons between every invader you attack.

- You have no shield slam. Shield slam really saves the day both in PvE and RvR. 9 sec is a long time and you can use it anytime youw ant to. If its to stop a enemy tank from killing you bard/nuker or to buy you a lil time when your in trouble exping.

- You cant guard other players when fighting.

This leads to my recommendation to consider such a template carefully before you go for it.

My favourite template right now is a quite defensive one, with good offensive possibilities:

Blade 10 - gives you taunt when you have the shield. good for epic mobs.
CS 44 - Gives you the second last style,
Shield 42 - Gives you shield slam. Very useful.
Parry 45 - Gives good parry for CS and 1hander.

Level 50 LW style is and always has been back positioned. The only side LW style is Hibernian Force (bleeed) which sets up the Obliteration and Devastate combo. Good when you are a secondary tank or for epic mobs as the bleed damage is constant no matter what the level of the mob.

Level 50 LW style takes a bit of practice but when it comes off it is great and it can certainly save the day.

Thanks for correcting my misstake Elric! I have heard a lot of good things about the lvl 50 style and also recognize it in my guide. Not sure its worth going to 50 in any one style though. Esp if you have 42 in shield to give you the slam ( which always works )

nice guide, but you forgot to add one thing:

PBAOE xp grouping for the hero

1) make absolutely certain to use the biggest, slowest, hardest hitting weapon you can, because you just know the mages will screw up and wont even be able to think of doing as much damage as your 1337 high lvl CS styles inflict on one mob at a time, forget taunting with small 1 handers, that's a mistake, just make absolutely certain to use a great heavy spear!, what's a pbaoer know about weaps anyway? yet they still think they have a right to tell you to use small weapons to TAUNT with?! ffs that's only a lvl 6 style! NOOBS!!!

2) because of your immense knowledge of PBAOE aggro control, you must make absolutely sure to keep the mob at the very edge of the pbaoe radius, just ignore the silly eldritch when he screams at you to put the mob on top of him, he doesnt know jack shit :)

3) make sure to give crap to the mana eld/chanter when your mob doesnt die as fast as the others, if they'd known their job properly they'd have come out from undernear the other mobs to get better damaage on your own, and as for those bloody idiot shades sticking mobs that close?! ffs it's obvious they've never tanked properly before, so make sure to teach them the importance of spacing all the mobs wide apart properly too :p

Drummer, you have 2 very nice templates there. Much better than your first one IMO.

I dont think that any lvl 50 style is worth the cost, and that you are better off spreading the points a lil. I used my extra to raise parry more. ( and i stopped blade at 10 as you probably wont use blade very much after lvl 50, due to more rvr and if you go against mobs you wont do the hurting. )

But both your alternatives will work fine i think. I would have gone with the first one of the two. ( higher parry and CS. you wont miss the blade much i think )

Charonel, thanks for your input. Not sure ill add it to the guide though :p
