Some of you guys who were in IRC last night might remember me talking about web comics and finding a name and etc. Well i thought of one wether its any good or not is up to you to decide :)

Just finished the webby 'enough' to upload it so check it out here

www.dontpressthebutton.com

Only the first teaser-panel done at the mo, but ive got 16 more eps scripted and 2 more drawn but not scanned/coloured/shaded/corrected, hope to have those 2 up tomorrow which will start to make more sense :)

Hope people like it.

I quite like it, maybe it could use a page banner though? :) May be an idea to swap your email address for an email form, to reduce spam. (Not sure if you're already planning on these - just thoughts).

I'll check back though for the next comic ;)

- Penguin.

Edit: Just another suggestion, may be an idea to have the news above the comic? Not sure about it myself but might be worth trying, wasn't too easy to spot so far down the page, just an idea.

No offence, I'd have the cartoon at the top and the news down the bottom so we can read it if we want.

Sometimes I don't wanna read your jibber, and I don't wanna scroll down for your cartoon.

I was thinking some would think like that, but then not knowing the news exists could be bad too. Unless you had a seperate page for news. Just another idea :)

ive squdged it around a bit made it more compact, i think im leaving the news at the bottom since it's not as important as the comic IMO - but i did toy with it at the top and decided i prefer it at the bottom, but now on a 1024x768 screen u can see theres something down there.

mabye ill add an anchor link to it somewhere at the top, but for now since the webby is essentially usable im gonna work on the next comic :p

I like the design and the comic too. :)

I imagine you will have a news page and comics page once there is more content?

Isn't the sitename gonna be a bit redundant once the button gets pushed? (episode 2???) ;)

I liked it, laughed at the second Ep. Imo the face on the second pannel was a bit strange, he almost looks a bit crazy instead of thinking. Good luck with the comic though, i'll keep on checking it out. :)

p.s Try and get some back/forward buttons under the comic so people don't need to go to Archive then select the comic.

Panel 2 he looks like he is tossing himself off inside his pocket.

"tip-ex" eh, probably just using man-juice as correction fluid

i put a new one up :m00:

new one made me chuckle.

JACK: What's the traditional first anniversary gift?
KAREN: Oh, let me try to remember. Uh... For my first anniversary, I got... a million dollars in cash... Paper! It's paper.
JACK: Paper? Paper is so blah. Let me tell ya, when the gays can get married, that's the first thing that goes.

1) Comic at the top
2) If there's any chance the size of the comic will change, then for convenience of people reading through the archives put the 'next comic' button at the top of the comic, not the bottom. (Somewhere at the left side would suffice too, the idea is you get to keep your mouse pointer in one place to repeatedly click each time you want the next comic).
3) Have a bloody calendar in the archives to make it easy to pick up where you left off if you didn't read for a while.

-Ath, many years experience reading comics and their archives
P.S. I'll actually go read yours now too :p

I agree the latest one is brilliant.

A comment on your chavs though, they look more like paperboy. You need some gold on them, and more burberry.

glad people liked the last one :p

thinking of re-sizing the comic (like 1/2 the current vertical dimension or something) to something that fits better for 1024*768 res.

All too easy to forget about lower res people when I'm using 1680*1050, tried it on a comp at uni and it's kinda anoying the whole comic doesn't fit on the page.

any thoughts?

It's fine for me here using 1280x1024 - Maybe you could scale it down a little though for lower res people - Guess it would be annoying to scroll? Or change layout slightly depending on how much is off the screen.
