Not really a gadget as such (since most gadgets are playthings), but a very nice portable DAT I just purchased from Ebay:
I'm currently testing it out, everything seems fine, but its in belting condition. You can gauge the size from the minijack going into the side. It should make an excellent backup recorder. It comes with a nice leather case that allows you to operate it even when encased.
