Well, I hope not, but I have eye surgery tomorrow morning, hopefully all will be well, but if you don't see me around, it's cos my eyes are sore.

FYI correcting double vision (involves cutting and stitching of muscles around one of my eyes). Thankfully under a general anaesthetic.

:uhoh:

Good luck matey.

Alhough, reducing the amount you drink would help resolve that without surgery

arrgh the pain

Ok its the day after, my right eye feels like it's got a huge piece of grit stuck behind the eyelid (that's one of the stitches). Very painful. My eye is badly bloodshot, and only half-opens, I'm taking lots of painkillers, and the worst thing is that I have to go and work on the WRC in Wales from tomorrow till sunday.

It's was done under general anaesthetic, although they woke me up, and at about 5pm did some eye tests, put some anaesthetic in my eye, put a borg-style clamp over my eye to hold it open, and tugged and pulled at the stitches they had left in, to 'fine-tune' my eye.

Not nice.

Looking at this monitor is bloody painful now, arghh fuck it im outta here

Surely being a photographer would require some working eyes. Stay at home Tommeh!!11

/me wonders if he gets to wear a pirate eye patch

staying at home = losing £250 x 5

:(

Considering the extremely work-wise quiet month I've just had, it's not an option.

I've got the contrast on its lowest setting, and it still bloody hurts!

The worst thing is that I can't watch alan partridge!

I got a splinter of steelin my eye when I was a kid, just like the wooden version you might get in your hand. They took it out at the eye hospital using a magnetised needle and local anaesthetic, so I sympathise with your "fine tuning" ordeal. :)

(I puked up by the way, several times.)

I had minor surgery on both eyes abt 2 yrs ago, had 1st 1 done then went back abt 3 months later for the other. The op was done under a local so i knew what was happening.....well the good surgeon (different 1 this time) prep'd my eye ready for some slicing and dicing but at that point i thought it best to point out that it was the other eye he was meant to be operating on
