MY HISTORY OF GAMING

Knight Lore and Alien8 broke new ground on the Speccy. Trouble was, by the time they had come out, I was already hooked on the C64. Good stuff tho.

Ultimate really were the Rare of that generation :).

Revs was Geoff Crammonds first attempt at an F1 game. It was brill (and hard).

Boulderdash was another classic I had on the C64. Why has no-one released it for the Gameboy Colour?

If I remember correctly, MSX was an attempt by Japanese companies to 'standardise' the computer platforms of the day. A pretty good idea, but spoilt by the fact that each manufacturer of an MSX system added on bits that weren't compatible with other manufacturer's extra bits :D

I nearly bought an MSX system at the time, but instead bought a Sharp MZ80K (out of the frying pan into the fire!).

My gaming/computer history looks pretty much the same as most others here (in rough order):

Sinclair ZX80 (DIY jobbie)
Sinclair ZX81 (with wobbly ram-pack..enough power to run a nuclear powerstation they said :p).
Dragon32
Oric Atmos (LMAO)
Spectrum 16, and then 48
Sharp MZ80K
Commodore64
Acorn Atom (couldn't afford a Beeb)
Commodore16 (/me feels faint at the thought)
AtariST 1040
386sx 16 1mb ram (sold my soul for an extra 1mb)
386dx 33 (things didn't move very fast in those days!)
486dx 33
486dx2 66
Pentium 60 (whoooo!)
Pentium 100
PentiumII 300
PentiumII 450
PentiumIII 600 (present system)

The games I enjoyed the most were those played on the Spectrum (anyone else bash their keyboard to death with Daley Thompson's Decathlon?).

no, but I killed my 800xl's space bar playing Defender. ( fixed it myself, thus avoiding shelling out $$$)

Build them ???

No. But I could use the Interface2 keys (67890) in all games like it was a sensible configuration :D
