It really saddens me, but it seems that Joxer will no more roam through Hibernia.
As some of you know, I have had some financial problems in the past. Well..it all began, when I lost my job a few months ago.
Suddenly we were short on cash and paying the mortgages for our house took almost our entire money.
And a few days ago it happened: The bank blocked my account and my credit card. So far all my efforts to find a solution to this problem were in vain.
How does this inflict DAOC? Well....we are only talking about a short amount of money here, but unfortunately GOA tried to transfer the subscription-fee shortly after the account was closed. I am told also, that once the payment has been rejected, GOA refuses to accept automatic bank debit (in Gemany) as an option anymore but insists on the use of a credit card.
And there is the problem: I am surely able to get my account unlocked in the upcomming days but there is no way the bank will accept to give me a credit card again - not at my current financial status.
I wrote a mail to the GOA-subscription-guys, trying to explain them the situation, even offering to pay the costs for a whole year in advance, but so far I got no reply from them. To be honest: I doubt that GOA will accept any sort of "agreement" there, apart from the their offered ways of payment, after all they don't quite have the reputation of a "userfriendly"-company (thinking of the time when DAOC started and peeps had to wait weeks for a reply when using Right Now).
Sooo...unless a miracle turns up, it seems that my times with Camelot are over. I tried to log in this evening, but I already got the "account blocked"-message.
The last six months really have been fun and I like to thank all the people whom I hunted with...been great.
Another big thanks goes to my guild. It was these guys who picked my puny little char up and gave him a meaning
