My fish are killing each other :<

Why would you want to do that? Its a new recent addition to the tank. There are lots of different reasons why it could be attacking, water conditions (they could be totally different from what it used to live in and therefore has not got used to the water yet). Not enough places to hide.

Do you test the water for ph, nitrites, nitrates and Ammonia?

While the new addition is getting used to the new water, you could buy a separating net, to separate it from the other fish, then release it after a week or two with the other fish and see if it is still aggresive towards them.

I don't see why water conditions would make 1 fish out of 5 of the exact same sort brought at the same time decide to get pissy at all the other fish.

With our latest tank we have several colony's in it and again we add half a dozen of a new kind in and sure enough 1 of them starts to bully all the other fish, nipping at them or trying to 'back up' onto the fish with the bone spikes on its tail.

The water conditions havent changed, no other fish are bothering it, yet it will still chase anything it sees and theres plenty of room for all.

Should you add more places for the other fish to hide and let them suffer getting chased ? or should you remove the problem fish.

You can get the exact same problems with birds, but usually with our birds its because one of them is ready to breed and the other isn't. But birds are alot easier to seperate then fish.

My father and I kept and bread tropical fish for a long time, and I agree with everthing Kagato has said. Youve just got a bastard fish, changing the water or putting more hidding places in is unlikely to solve the problem.

Remove offending fish, place inside newspaper, slap brick onto newspaper, throw newspaper and fish paste away.

He said he bought a ickle goldfish to replace one that died..... so that is the new addition, while the other fish are mature members of the tank.

Put it in a seperate tank for a day and then put it back seems to have calmed it down, seems more interested in its own reflection now ><

best way to put a fish down i have heard (if you have to ofc) is stick it in the freezer in a margarine tub of water. That's how we killed one of ours that had a disease.
