My First Hotmail Account

Well I had to get one so I could use MSN Messenger to talk to Xavier. Now after getting one I realised why I didn't before....the spam is amazing.

Currently sitting in the junkbox is 48 emails which arrived in the last2/3 days. Some new ones keep getting through as well....this really does take the piss and makes you wonder why MS can't stop such crap :rolleyes:

I have over 100 new messages in my MSN hotmail box....they will never be opened and prolly never deleted...i am to lazy to even look at that many messages....:rolleyes: :mad: :mad: :sleeping: :sleeping:

You know you don't have to get a Hotmail account to use Messenger (I don't).

Hotmail is fine if you want to use it as a temporary throw-away account only

I got a hotmail account when they first started up, they were fine then. Its was only when MS took it over did the spam reach unacceptable levels

BarysWorld mail is normally spam free... And works well with mail clients. Why would you want anything else?

I got a hotmail account for my website, and this was before they put on that junkmail filter thingy, so I made my own divert folder called bloody junkmail that took anything with multiple exclamation marks in the title, or words like free sex cock etc... Then I kinda forgot about it for a while. Next thing I know my account size is too large, and the folder has over 2000 junkmails in it. I couldn't even open the folder to check through it or delete them, cos the sheer weight of it would slam up the net.

I'm sure there can't be that much money to be made in junkmailing people. I wouldn't trust a single junkmail as far as I could spit in the wind.

As stated I needed it for MSN, well thats what I thought.

I've got 2 bw ones and some of my own :p

ICQ works through most firewalls - or did you mean that he could not get to the download site? Either way its easily solved with a sysadmin bribe :)

lol, you don't need a hotmail account to use msn... I don't, you just get your passport with your current e-mail addy, I did. I wouldn't go anywhere near a hotmail account. I have a brain. :D

(btw, what are peoples msn logins? mine's wazzerphuk@barrysworld.com :))

I have yet to find a sysadmin not vunerable to a bribe, you just have to find thier weakness...

Had a hotmail account once, had spam waiting for me the first time i used it, never again :)

No, but unlike some it has the intelligence inside it to figure out you don't need a hotmail account. :p

I don't get spam on my Hotmail account or my BW account.

the accounts that go with my webspacve however, get spammed to buggery!

I use hotmail accounts for people to spam ;)
