When a light bulb goes in my flat I just usually sit in darkness till one of my other flatmates comes in, trys the switch and goes "Oh! The bulbs gone, I'll just go change it" or some variant (perhaps involving more expletives).
Why do something yourself when you have other people around who can do it for you?
